I don't see where these two tropes differ in any meaningful fashion: the hero, rather than stain his own hands with the villain's blood, lets someone or something else with a grievance against the villain have his way with him.

I checked quite a bit before making the YKTTW and nobody mentioned when I made it—it got 32 replies and I'd never even heard of Do with Him as You Will.

In any case, they are the same trope, bar the fact that the people who are left with the villain don't have to be his victims in this one, but I'm not sure which one was created first. Either way, they should be consolidated.

Why not have Do with Him as You Will be the heroic version of this trope, and have Throw 'Em to the Wolves as the villainous version? I made the point way back in the YKTTW of this trope that it can also be a way for a villain to Kick the Dog by consigning or abandoning those of their own side (or if they're The Mole, those who thought he or she was on their side) to some awful fate.

I'm reworking this trope slightly.

Do with Him as You Will appears to be confined to the hero giving the villain over to the villain's former victims. Throw 'Em to the Wolves does not have that restraint, so I'm going to set up two different tropes here: Throw 'Em to the Wolves will be a third party, and Do with Him as You Will will be the "former victims" trope.
