What is your issue with Rebels, exactly? You seem to have a lot of internal hangups about both this and Korra.
At the moment, I am in the process of writing two fan-fictions, and visualizing a third, and i have often looked to the Star Wars franchise for source material (for example, in the unwritten fanfic, i'm considering having the group dynamic of Rebels be what i want for my makeshift crew). However, i'm trying my best to keep certain aspects that i didn't like in previous media out of my stories and am trying to find ways to work around them.
From what i watched on the "Rebels" interviews about Ezra and Zeb, there's going to be at least one thing about this show that won't sit well with me and that just opens the door for so many negative, unwanted mental visuals, namely with how Ezra is going behave, based on how his character is described. I know, i know: Han Solo wasn't exactly the most ideal character either. But for some strange reason, that never bothered me, probably because the story wasn't about him, it was about Luke, so that's where my attention stayed. And even then, i couldn't really see any flaws in Luke's character, even though i'm told that he had a few.
I'm sure the story won't be completely about Ezra. I think the show will work as an ensemble show, if that makes sense. It'll focus on the crew of the Ghost.
Panel at Comic-Con announced another unproduced Clone Wars arc is getting done in-print: The one about Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos. That novel comes next summer
A New Dawn is pretty much essential for backstory on the Rebels characters it stars as the show plans not to do any flashbacks.

Heard about the Ventress/Vos novel - I must say that I'm pretty excited about it, especially since that we're getting some of these unfinished stories in at least some shape or form.
The way I understand it, A New Dawn is specifically Kanan and Hera's backstory.
Is A New Dawn a novel or a comic?
Novel. So is the new Ventress story.
ETA: The Ventress book is being written by Christie Golden. Lucas Publishing's version of an apology, since her Sword of the Jedi Trilogy was cancelled?
Also, have some announcement (cover?) art.◊

I'm not sure why that's a question.
Ventress shaves her head
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!Really, I thought all Dathomirians were naturally bald.
Also, doesn't Talzin have hair?
It's just....she looks awful with hair.
Stay bald Ventress. Stay bald forever.
One Strip! One Strip!Ventress?
Vos?
Adaptated from the TCW Season 7 sripts?
Written by Cristie Golden?

Uh, Ventress is a Rattataki isn't she? I thought they couldn't grow hair.
Very excited for the novel.

Ventress is Dathomirian, not Rattataki.
The show retconned her into Dathomirian, and the EU explanation is that she was raised on Ratatak. That's possibly not an issue anymore with the reboot, but it's still possible.
Folks, there's going to be 7-minute preview for Rebels tonight. It's already been released in French, but for those of us who don't speak or understand it, we're gonna have to wait a few more hours for the English version.

Gahmah's Link Tree: https://linktr.ee/GahmahRaanI am so annoyed looking at Facebook and seeing people bitching endlessly about this.
But nice to know that they're sticking to typical Imperial behavior. Ganging up on an alien merchant and automatically saying "TREASON!" when he protests.
Then again that was kind of stupid of him to say that things were better without the Empire to their faces.
The animation is also really good though :) I need to start watching Clone Wars again, I started off being a big fan but I eventually quit for some reason that I don't remember...
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Anyway, the English version for those of you don't have Disney XD or don't have cable period.
I forgot to watch it last night. Thanks for the video.
I couldn't clearly hear where that stuff was going to be taken. Did the officer in charge say "Imperial Poodle" or something else?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I guess we won't translate the Mondegreen until we have subtitles for this scene.

I really just need to get this off my chest:
I was in a somewhat erratic state of mind when i watched the "new look" clip, so seeing the "Was there ever a doubt" "Yes" part of the clip just slowly yet quickly struck a cord in my mind and not in a good way.
It's amazing really: i'm dreading this show a bit, while still looking forward to it at the same time.
