Um.....announcing the cancellation of a Game that hadn't got much buzz and has been greeted by "Oh well, I wasn't looking forward to it" by some sites is not an April's Fools joke.

Quite a few games have been cancelled by the Earthquake, not to mention the game's designer left Capcom AND the description was too... short to be April Fool's.

April Fool's is at least well-known in Japan, such that it's not unheard of for companies to make joke announcements, but I don't know how popular it is. Although it would be kind of funny if it turned out they were trying to gauge public reaction by this and would play it off as a joke if it turned out we cared.
