Yeah, it somehow gets even worse... Better?... Later on. X4 kept them mostly seperate, but by the time X6 rolls around basically all the two do is fawn over eachother, declare their devotion to eachother and gaze longingly into one anotherès eyes. Itès somehow ADORABLE. Especially or despite the fact that they are superpowered mechanized humanoid battle platforms. From what I have seen of Mega Man Zero, it practically portrays the two as Star-Crossed Lovers.

Gintama shipping is hard. Do I ship Gintoki with the Ninja girl who he shows no interest in, because she really likes him and it would be neater? Or should I ship her with my favourite character who would be the "S" to her "M"?
But then... Kagura × Sougo is an interesting dynamic since they're both slightly immature and act a bit like kids sometimes, which means they have some great Belligerent Sexual Tension.
Gintoki and Kagura is more of a father-daughter relationship and I'm not sure Shinpachi ships well with anyone.
There's not all that many female characters who I would ship in this show... I guess there's Otae (I know there's technically no "O"), but the only people who've expressed interest in her are Kondo who's pretty much an idiot and Shinpachi, if you take his big sister complex to extremes.
Damn... There's no way I can pair off all these people heterosexually .

Yeah, probably.
Honestly, I never ship anything that doesn't make sense on some level. But a pair of Shipping Goggles can help blow that level way out of proportion (Gloriously). If you do start randomly derailing characters, they stop becoming the characters you're trying to ship and thus you lose the whole point to the shipping!
As for Gintama... Eh. The only prerequisite for a hookup in that show is that it's funny.
