Abridged Series on original work pages: Person
Lately, I've been noticing a trend where The Abridged Series has been showing up as a trope example on the work page for the source material of The Abridged Series in question. My impulse is to remove these. Is it all right for me to do so? The Abridged Series is a work type, not a trope, and the difficulty of creation is sufficiently low that it strikes me as similar to listing Fan Fic as an example.

Trivia seems like the best idea. Or possibly a small link in the description.

I'd probably be more inclined to use the Trivia subpage than put the links in the main description. There May Be No Such Thing As Notability, but I'm not sure that many of these efforts really deserve top billing. Again, I'd say it's about as valid as listing other fan works in that fashion.

Don't list Abridged examples on the page for a work, or any of that work's subpages; the Abridged series isn't part of the work and doesn't belong there.
That said, if an Abridged series points out a trope present in the original, it's obviously fair game.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
