By the power of geek!
New episode! Back to the present.

Also: CT's a traitor!
Look at me still talking when there's science to do

The modern day stuff was great.

The stuff in the past I still continue to not be able to care less about.

[up]Dang, I thought this would be the episode where you decided the Freelancer plot was great and would only watch that from now. Still, I'll bet Mullon loved it.

[up][up][up]Not surprised, but it sounds like they're excluding Wyoming for the same reasons I'd want to see more of him.

The stuff with the Reds and Blues makes me wish even more that we'd seen what happened while Church was in the memory unit. Oh, well.

I suppose this episode was a step in the right direction, but the more I see of Carolina in the 'now' story and the more I learn about her, the more I find myself wanting to see her fail in her mission and/or get killed off. Especially if it's a result of the Reds and/or Blues shinanigans.

Even if he's not getting any lines, I am gratified by Wyoming's giant mustache.

Theta-chan gets cuter with each episode. Makes his fate even more tragic.

And Sigma is creeping me out. Elijah Wood must be having fun voicing him.

We also still can't get any significant screen time out of the original main characters. sad

So, Wash and Carolina were discussing something not being right in relation to CT's body in these last two episodes. The Director said CT's armor enhancement can't be allowed to fall into enemy hands. I have a feeling her enhancement is some sort of resuscitation device that brings the armor-wearer back from the dead. Which would be what Carolina meant about her "knowing what [she] saw" when Wash brought C.T. up.

Am I the only one who loves Pilot 479er? Her sharp sarcastic wit gives Church, Tucker and Grif a run for their money and she just gets funnier every time she appears. Wonder if we'll see how she gets stuck as Command's operator.

Praise the Sun!
I have to say, the moment that Maine landed gave me chills.
Forgot to say this, but considering she's still alive in the present and still works for Command (there hasn't been anything to suggest otherwise), I'm really hoping we get to see her and Tucker onscreen together at some point. [lol]

It's moments like this PS As that make me sort of wish that Caboose was 'officially' a member of the Red Team. He just seems to mesh with them so well for some reason.

Which makes me wonder - What If, at the beginning of the series, Donut had wound up on Blue Team and Caboose had wound up on Red Team, instead of vice versa?

edited 30th Jul '12 10:19:45 PM by SpaceJawa

^Not just Caboose and Donut either. Maybe it's because they did the first few PS As together, but Grif has had dome pretty great chemistry with Church the few times they've interacted. Church even said before that he thinks he's the smartest one on the Red Team.

But yeah, Church has said before that he likes Donut. In fact Sarge, when he's had to work with Caboose, has been more patient with him than he usually is with Grif. It would be interesting to see Rooster Teeth do an alternate-reality miniseries of Blood Gulch with the team members moved around to see how they'd be.

[up] I thought Church called Grif the smartest guy on the team just to mess with Simmons.

And that latest episode had absolutely nothing worth watching as far as I'm concerned.

That episode was AWESOME!

It wasn't quite what I predicted, but it was a little similar. So, CT was already dead in Recreation and that was the Insurrectionist leader in her armor. Wash and Carolina alluded to what "CT"'s team was doing on the dig site in the first place.

Quite a few interesting things going on.

I'm wondering whether the point of this is that CT in Recreation was actually a good guy or just the other bad guy.

Stop. Penny Time!
I thought it was a pretty good twist. Not as good as it might have been for the 10th episode, though.

Hi. I want to get into watching this series, as I've heard great things about it, but I don't know where to start. I tried watching the first episode but it just felt really boring. Any tips?

If you start at episode 1

you pretty much have to sit through the shows growing pains... Alot of the earlier episodes are hit or miss.

It gets better as it goes and really the first few seasons go by really quick if you just soldier through them.
The first episode is a little boring, I suppose. Try to watch the second episode, I guess. As the show goes on, it gets better.

I'd say this was probably my favorite episode in quite some time.

Not coincidentally, it's also the episode that seems to have the greatest quantity of Red and Blues we've had in quite some time, including another classic moment from Sarge.

How I wish that Grif was dead... [lol]

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Tucker and Carolina's interactions evolved into the next Slap-Slap-Kiss relationship.

And Sigma's TOUCHING THE OTHER AI's. That's what creeps me out. He's just so...close and personal. Is it weird that it's the creepiest thing I find about him? Gotta be the way he tells them that they should "stick together".
