That falls into and could be confused for Department of Redundancy Department. I Eat X For Breakfast or I Eat That For Breakfast could work.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"As an entirely irrelevant aside, is anyone else surprised that apparently no-one's ever done some variation of "You're toast!" "Hah! I eat toast for breakfast!"
That is not what the trope is.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. What? That's exactly what the trope is. Using the "I eat X for breakfast" cliche to indicate that you're not intimidated or concerned.
No, the post I was replying to was not using it that way.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I Eat That For Breakfast sounds like the best name I've heard so far.
A few random ideas just came to my mind, like I Eat Mad Libs For Breakfast.
Or for that matter, even I Eat Metaphors For Breakfast (plural) would work better.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I Eat Exaggeration For Breakfast
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.^^No it wouldn't because whatever goes in place of the word "Metaphors" still isn't an actual metaphor for anything.
I Eat That For Breakfast and I Eat Noun For Breakfast are my two favorites so far.

While I think we could have a bit more fun with it, I Eat That For Breakfast is the most Boring, but Practical option so far, so I guess that gets my vote. Can we get a crowner?

What is wrong with using Metaphor, that using something dull like "that" would fix, again?
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? You aren't eating a metaphor, you're making a metaphor. It's the eating that's metaphorical, not the thing you're eating.
Looks pretty clearcut that it's hurting to me and I'd say the name is probably the issue. For once, a rename discussion that's actually here for the reasons we rename. :P
I want to say that I laughed pretty hard at I Eat Exaggeration For Breakfast. I like that one.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Sorry, no good ideas here. *headdesk*

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Given the support for a rename in the single proposition crowner (around 73%), I made an alternative titles crowner here. Feel free to edit it, add options, and point out any errors I may have made in making it.
"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dIt's been noted that using "trope" as a placeholder is now considered bad form.
Can I just ask then, why "X" is considered acceptable but "Trope" is not? They both seem equally obtuse to me.
Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Because Trope is actually a meaningful word, that is also used meaningfully. For example Inverted Trope doesn't mean Inverted X, and Meta Trope doesn't mean Meta X.
I Eat Tropes For Breakfast would literally mean that "This morning, I ate the Big Bad page. Tomorrow, I will eat Cool Car"
None of the proposed titles work at all. The article is about using a phrase snowclone-style. Name the trope, don't parrot the dialog.
Snowclone Phrase might work.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyThat's too general, stock phrases always have some part of the phrase in their title, even when the exact quote is never used, like Chew Bubblegum.
Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.
Crown Description:
Previous crowner showed consensus support for a rename.
I Eat Cereal For Breakfast isn't bad, or how about I Eat Breakfast For Breakfast?
