He could also become Magneto.
He has three brothers... and a teacher with round ears...
The poor guy is a knockoff Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
I didn't write any of that.A stage? Does that means he's gonna...
Flip the script?
Three brothers? Not counting the round-eared guy, I see only two shadows.
I think Meta Four was misreading 'three of us'
Yeah, by his words the total count of turtle bros is three. So not quite TNMT.
Also, the bros are not necessarily turtles. He refers to them as sworn brothers, which implies that inasmuch as biological relation is even a thing for spirits, these guys aren't his bio-brothers.
Electromagnetism is one of the four fundamental forces of the universe as far as we understand it. I'd say Max can do pretty well with his powers given time.
Re: he maybe can only flip things he's touching:
Not sure about that. We've only seen him flip things on his person because that's kind of all that's in this room. What else is he gonna demonstrate his power on? Isabel? That'd be rude.
I have a message from another time...He sounds like he's going to start showing off now.
It was cute for him to lampshade the lack of backgrounds in this one but for me the strip really suffered for that. Not him lamp hading that is, but the lack of detailed background. Noticed it even before saw him bringing it up.
I'm perfectly fine with people using just blocks of colour as background when that's not the focus, but when the characters actively discuss their surroundings you need to draw them in, if only in silhouette.

And so all unconnected appearances are solved with one fell swoop of a breakdancing turtle.
Question is, though, how come he has the ability to permanently wreck his box-shell like that, with no way of obtaining a new one/fixing it?
He received the box from the Box Ghost. It's a spirit box.
I AM THE BOX GHOST!
That doesn't explain why the stage looks like a subway though.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Because you just find an open public area to breakdance, probably?
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.Aren't subways (and street corners) the traditional haunts of buskers?
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Not to mention that a subway would be easier to incorporate over the actual setting than an alley or a sidewalk.
Hrrgngh. Turtles being presented as able to get out of their shells causes me almost physical pain. I know he's a turtle spirit thing and all, not a real turtle, but still. Gah.

Be not afraid...Dude, his shell is his hat, not his box.
Which he got out of, before making it his hat, this being the problem.
This is a silly problem, but they seem to know that, so.

I'm not sure it works like that? Toph was able to expand her powers because they were actually her power, a thing she could do because of training and knowledge and skill and whatever (I think). Spectrals like Max though are just borrowing power from the spirit in their tool. They might get better at using it effectively, but I don't think they can actually expand its scope.
The SPIRIT might be able to branch out and learn new things, but not Max. And given the nature of Max's spirit, that seems really unlikely. (And unlikely to be a good idea even if it's possible).
