Image keeps changing: Timey Wimey Ball

It seems like we just had this discussion a couple of months ago...

During the summer, the image for Timey-Wimey Ball was changed from the Time Sphere from Bender's Big Score to this yarn ball, from Doctor Who, as the original image was declared "unclear".

A couple of weeks later in August, Troper ninjacrat 5 removed the image due to "eye-gougingly ugly image, dumbness" without any discussion to Image Pickin.

Then in January, movie007 changed it back to the Futurama Image:

I guess are we good with these changes, or should we revert back to the yarn one?

Definitely shouldn't be the green thing. The yarn is a little less JAFAAC-ey, but is still not good at all.

Neither image seems good to me. The former is confusing, the latter gives no context.

Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.

The yarn thing was chosen in a previous discussion. Stick with it.

The yarn pic was chosen in the previous Image Pickin' thread, so I'm putting it back up for the time being. I think we can probably do better, but it shouldn't have been removed to begin with.

The green thing definitely awful. The Yarn's functional, though it could stand to look a bit nicer.

I like that a lot better. It could use some touching up (it's kinda crude) but it's much cleaner and to-the-point.

"You" should be italicized. And the quote might work potholed to Spoof Aesop. Or is it Space Whale Aesop?

My only comment would be, are we sure that Past should be before Future?

Italic you on the image, caption, or both?

And yes, I think they should be. The trope is about time travel fridge logic, essentially. So the time should be normal before and after the time travel (the ball)
