To kick off from what was going on earlier, I discovered a long lost gem of a game I had no idea where came from, "Pocket Monsters Go! Go! Go!" which haunted by childhood and memories. I never thought I'd see it again.

As you can see it's pretty mysterious and monotone. The houses look a bit Middle Eastern and they have Hexagrams on them which is a mixture of a Jewish and Occult symbol. Means different things to different cultures. But sure feels odd and mysterious in a Pokemon game. And that intro with Meowth is eerie as all get out. I have so much nostalgia for this game. As it was one of those things I played when I waited desparately for the next Pokemon game. And it was weird, cute, and mysterious.

But as I have just learned, the game actually comes from this little tittle. "Smurfs' Nightmare". [[youtube:h0H9Qiz_vkM]] I personally think Pikachu is cuter. And what a fitting title. As Pocket Monsters Go! Go! Go! is a bit like a bizarre dream. And I think for that reason I'll always prefer the Pikachu version. It has the memories, and it just does take you to another world in a very strange and perhaps eerie sort of way. It's... it's cute.

"So I very fear" needs to become a meme.

I have this...thing from...the Phillipines, I think? It's a "100 game compilation" for the Game Boy Advance and while it does have a 100 games on it, they're not ones that I'd revisit.

Oh, and has anyone heard of Jeff Gordon XS Racing? It's a Driving Game in a futuristic setting with weird futuristic cars that you can crash into each other and they regenerate damage. Oh, and when they do, it sounds like a soda can being crushed (appropriate considering that Pepsi seems to be the biggest sponsor for this game). And some of the tracks are trippy.

There was this Harry Potter GBC game that wasn't like the actual HP GBC game - this one was a horizontal schmup in the style of Gradius. Since I sucked at schmups, I did terribly, but I remember it being oddly fun.

TRS Rockin' used to have an interesting mention on her Bootleg Pokemon page (Link courtesy of the Wayback Machine) of an interesting sounding "Pokemon Sapphire" bootleg that was, in fact, for the GBC! It looks like a kind of strategy game, with surprisingly well-done sprites for a hack. Engrish or no, I'd love to actually check it out to see how it plays. I wonder if there's a ROM of it somewhere...

Wait, what?

There's no way that would be possible on NES hardware.
