I liked Integra. Lady of War, and she's rather pretty to boot.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Integra is awesome. You can never have enough Intergra.
And while I wouldn't say he's my favourite, Pip is a fun change of pace.

Oh and I love Anderson. In fact Iscariot itself is awesome because I love religiously motivated villains. Or, heroes. Or whatever Iscariot is.
Have they announced the cast list for OVA 5 yet?
I'd consider Anderson an Anti-Hero/Anti-Villain depending on your interpretation.

Imagine Rakan applying Calling Your Attacks to doing paperwork.~Anarchy Rakan for the hell of it COMMISSION THIS BRIDGE!~EHKNo, I don't think there has been any announcements about the cast. I'm pretty sure they will have Freeman return but not sure about everyone else.
I don't even think there is a specific release date at the moment. So it'll be out sometime this year and most speculate this summer but that's about all I know.

Rather than make a new topic, I'll just derail this one. (I really should have made this a general Hellsing thread like I had originally planned....)
Hellsing's cast largely consists of murderous lunatics. The only good thing is the "heroes" are less homicidal and psychopathic than other groups.
So, basically, how would you rate each character's "morality" as determined by your own ideas of good and evil?
How would you rank them from 1 to 10 with 1 being Least Evil and 10 being Most Evil.
Example: Seras - 3
The Major - 10

Dude, according to my morals, I'm evil. And I haven't even beaten anyone unconscious yet, let alone raped or killed 'em.
That said, I think I rate Seras a little higher than me.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Eh. You're probably just a bit too hard on yourself.
Anyway, I wonder what The Captain would score.
I'd put the captain around a 5 or 6. He seems at like the most decent person in Millennium, but the fact that he's member of the Nazi party makes me wonder about the skeletons in his closet.
Imagine Rakan applying Calling Your Attacks to doing paperwork.~Anarchy Rakan for the hell of it COMMISSION THIS BRIDGE!~EHKEh, they're probably just there as chew toys.

What's precedent ever done for us?Changing the topic completely....again, there was a thread elsehwere discussing how a poster thought Integra was Too Dumb to Live and a thoroughly incompetent leader.
Now I don't put the blame squarely on her shoulders but the fact of the matter is I was not at all impressed with the Hellsing Organization. First they are decimated by the Valentines than they are baited into an obvious trap to lure Alucard away and their best method of offense (outside their crutch Alucard) is to hire a group of mercenaries.
I mean Hellsing is supposed to the ultimate (wordplay, ha) anti-supernatural force in Britain.
In sharp contrast though their counterpart, Iscariot, seemed much more effective. They weeded out traitors first thing (something that might ahve been very useful for Hellsing to do.....) and they just seemed much more efficient.
Plus, look at this. Iscariot doesn't need to hire someone else's guns.
Maxwell is a direct counterpart to Integra and yet he commands a much more impressive force.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, should Nazi vampires ever overrun my home, I'd prefer Iscariot to be my protectors over Hellsing.
Yeah, that'll be great right up until they kill you for being a heathen.
But I did think Hellsing's handling of the whole aircraft carrier thing was stupid. Just because Rip van Winkle can shoot down the aircraft that come near it doesn't mean that the only option is to send Alucard into a situation where he will be stranded. The Queen is backing them, have the Royal Navy throw some cruise missiles at the carrier! Torpedo the thing! Do something a little bit clever!
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.I can't help but suspect, though, that she could shoot down the cruise missiles and the torpedoes. They needed something that was both fast and invulnerable, and there really weren't many things they had like that whose first names didn't begin with an 'A'.
What's precedent ever done for us?They coulda just ignored the thing.
Only really works until it winds up on your doorstep with a horde of Nazi vampires and a walking artillery piece inside it. At least sending over Alucard meant they could take the threat down on their own terms.
I'll agree that It wasn't an immediate problem requiring an immediate solution, though.
What's precedent ever done for us?Another Hellsing character I really like is Enrico.
I dunno why but, even though he's a member of the main cast, I don't see Maxwell talked about much. It's always Anderson this and Anderson that.
I like Iscariot best I thing. Yumie, Yumiko, Heinkel, Anderson (and sometimes Enrico) are just <3<3<3 And I liked Rip & Zorin. I feel bad for liking Schrödinger because he's a Nazi I love the Hellsing org characters to death to but at the end of the day I like Iscariot better. They're just so... insane.
Pairings...? I can't think of a pairing I don't like in the series... I wasn't to keen on Alucard/Integra but then I started reading Shine. Maybe Yumie/YumikoxHeinkel.
Oh God, I almost forgot it but when I only knew the (first) anime I shipped Anderson/Alucard. I think they might have been my first serious slash pairing. Serious because this fandom introduced me to the notions of yaoi.
SQUEEE!

Eh, I can't see Al with anyone but Integra. And even then, it's not exactly a good or healthy relationship.
Starting yet another topic, who do you guys think have the best smiles in the series? We got Psychotic Smirks and Slasher Smiles everywhere.
For Slasher, it has to be Rip.
For regular smirks, I'm rather partial to Maxwell's.◊ Though I'm not sure how psychotic it is, he always has his lips really curled up and I love it.

Heinkel~
I kinda do wish Maxwell got more screentime. I liked him when he went crazy.
Smiles... Girlycard◊ is pretty cute.

Seras and Integra are my favorite characters.
I favour Alucard/Integra and Seras/Pip. I know, so boring and predictable. But like Nikkolas, I hardly can see anyone except Integra with Alucard after Mina dumped him. Yumiko and Heinkel tickle my fancy occasionally.

You don't ship Alucard, because Alucard is already in a committed, long-term relationship with violence
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialI was going to ask what possible shipping could be going on in a show with so much violence but... I think KSPAM has offered the most elegant shipping solution.

"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."... OT3?
What's precedent ever done for us?
Well I feel the urge I get every few months or so to just indulge the awesome.
So needless to say I'm focusing on Hellsing at the moment and remembering why I love Millennium so much.
I did a "Favorite Millennium Member" thread months back but that was a bit narrow and it got derailed after a bit. So why not expand the topic is my thought process here. I might think Alucard is boring but Walter and other non-Millennium characters are good.
So, yeah. Who do you think are the best characters in the series and why?
As before I'm going with The Captain and Schrodinger as my favorite characters.
In a universe where everyone is Laughing Mad, the one who guy who stands there really stands out. The Captain is as tough and awesome as they come and you can never underestimate the appeal of the unknown. I really wish we did in fact know more about him....
As for Schrodinger, he's just adorable. A perky, comically dim Nazi? he adds cuteness to Millennium while somehow keeping them as depraved as ever.
