DRUMMER HERE
When you're finished with this, just send me the tracks and I'll lay some grooves on them. I have a couple of songs written, but they're for something else, and some of them are quite technical. I could write some stuff for this and see how it goes, though... not at the moment, though... I have coursework and the writing competition to worry about. x_x
Also, we should totally be called Crystal Dragon Jesus.
HEY BABY! :P
@Sabre: I think we should let it out naturally, I think I have a good bass line. Simple and short, after that you build up from it.
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.I'm sorry, but I'm not really good at playing an instrument. I might be able to contribute some lyrics though, if you want.
Also, I would suggest The Pseudoreformed as a name.

Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsHow about you record something, Lolipod, and we work on it?
I'm talking rhythm, obviously.
It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.Yup, that sounds good. Someone needs to establish a bassline/rhythm for us to work on. (Plus, I don't know if this should wait, but I like the idea of counterpoint. Basically: bassline plays pattern A; midway through it switches to pattern B or the melody, and high instruments take up pattern A.)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I probably won't be able to til sometime next week, I let my friend borrow my guitar and he broke the strings. I'll see if I can use something at my school.

Never let it be said that I would not use twenty words when only a few words would be necessary
I like the idea of tempo matching, then. Since bassline/guitar accompaniment usually sets the tempo and the chord structure, they should probably kick off.
Also, we need a running tally of instruments, roles (melody/harmony/counterpoint/accompaniment/et cetera), and structure. By the last of which I mean: who's playing when? Who's going to take the lead feature at which point? Are we going to feature any instrumental solos/cadenzas, and if so when and where?
(If that sounds complicated, I'm pretty much taking up the role of devil's advocate. Sorry if I'm introducing more variables into the whole thing than what it needs.)
