Tip for creating a female trickster?

Hey guys.

I am looking forward to create a Female trickster character. The problem is that I have zero experience with Tricksters. Most characters I have tought, have personalities like Superman Aka The Cape.To complicate matters my Real Life personality is also like The Cape.

My basic idea is a Shrinking Violet , that is secretly a trickster Magical Girl. I know the concept has been made before (The Mask). So I want to give it an origonal twist. Also I would really Like some tips on making her fun and not The Scrappy.

As a trickster myself, I try to find Fun out of everything I encounter. That's what a Trickster thrives on — amusement. Especially amusement out of creating absurdity. It's like sending your co-workers on a conga line in a business meeting, and the P.A. system is blaring out Yakety Sax.

First of all: Does she have to be a female?

If you want to make her fun, you may want to tone down the shrinking violet aspects. And rather than have her parents be abusive, just make them ignorant. Ignorant people are much easier to practice trickery upon. And rather than not having any friends, let the girl have hidden allies that she doesn't know about.

Well I am planing her trickster side to be a Clark Kenting / Alter Ego like how she would be without those dark issues. A way to be how she really is without without her horrible life influence. Kinda like a Dandere. michevious and the woobie at the same time.

It's true ignorant people are more fun to trick. Tricking evil people would automatically make her The Wesley lol. I also love the idea of the secret allies.

I'd make her pretty much Catwoman, in that she moves around like a black panther and flirts and taunts her pursuers, but actually does love someone, who unfortunately, doesn't know her or doesn't like her.

You could try making her alter ego a massive Large Ham. Tricksters with that kind of personality can be great fun to read about, and it would make it more of an opposite alter ego.

Of course, you should have the personality that she prefers going as come through the non-dominant side. If she's prefers being a trickster, have that trickster attitude sneak through when she's being reclusive by having her trick people into staying away. If her reclusive side is more dominant, have it so that while she is in trickster mode she prefers working alone or likes working in the shadows.

^Remember tricksters actions are fueled by wanting to be amused.

To tell the truth. I am not writing this character. I am drawing her. I will show you the prototype later guys :)
