Theres a remix of the Sonic 3 special zone tune that I often listen to that starts off with the old 'Sega'. Its oddly comforting.

OH MAN dude thanks for reminding me. I don't like many of the new OC Remixes, but back in the day (before Lord High Pretzel demanded everything be a Final Fantasy remix written in Reason) OCR was the shit!

Anyway, they had this amazingly dreamy almost-Spyro like remix of the Sonic 1 bonus stage. Lemme check and see if they still have it.

Hm, I sure hope that - providing it's actually being made - that Sonic Anniversary title take some cues from Unleashed's Daytime Stages and Colors. Any confirmation of something along those lines would definitely be a ATFR moment for me.

Is the Sonic Gems Collection worth buying? I really wanna play Sonic CD, but I dunno if the other games on it would justify the purchase.

Bah, If I can't play the earlier Sonic games in the Sonic Mega Collection w/out being interrupted, I may as well get them on Virtual Console.

^^ To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it. But, I shouldn't tell you what to do with your money, so...

I'd recommend piracy as opposed to buying that game. Unless you are a collector in which case buy that and all the other versions of the games.

This is probably just me, but when I had that game I played Sonic R and Fighters way more than I played CD.

Ditto. Also, there are some good remixes, as well as Vectorman and IIRC Comix Zone

Comix Zone. Its one of the funnest games you'll never beat. Vectorman (I & II) as well.

As did I Beta. CD was one huge disappointment. R was horrid, but had that amazingly bad soundtrack that I couldn't help but love. Fighters was fun to play with my brother. Vectorman 1 got a fair amount of play as well.

Nah, go ahead. If I didn't want suggestions on how to spend my money, I probably wouldn't have said "Is the Sonic Gems Collection worth buying?"

I don't do emulation of console games. Especially platformers. I prefer a controller over a keyboard for anything not an adventure game or shooter.

I'll keep it in mind, although I'm not big on racing games and my favorite character isn't playable in Fighters.

According to some other sites, Comix Zone isn't on it. Which is too bad, since that would've sold me on it.

I was always afraid to go into the Chao Gardens. Afraid I'd not know what I was doing and end up abusing the Chao accidentally or something. Too much responsibility!

My favorite chao is a Physical God. I can beat the living hell out of it (with Robotnik of course) with absolutely no reprocussions... Except when he (my chao) murdered one of his brothers.

I loved the chao gardens, but I could never go back to it after a while cause I didn't want my chao to die.

Wikipedia says Comix Zone wasn't on it.

They reincarnate as long as you don't drown them or bash their heads in. Half the fun is making them perfect through reincarnation.

On controllers and emulation: Xbox 360 controllers and other such things are available for computers to solve this problem.

I thought the conditions for mortality were "anything less than near-perfect training". They reincarnate once to adulthood, and then after that, everything counts.

If they're happy when they die, they'll reincarnate as an egg. If you think a chao is getting a little old, just feed them two or three of their favorite fruit and pet them a bunch. Aside from my murderous perfect-devil chao, I'm actually a really good caretaker, so my chao never die permanantly.

Do you like Classic or Modern Amy better?

Contemporary Amy. As bad as she can get with her crush on Sonic at times, at least she has some character beyond that.
