Yeah, it's quite nice.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Yes. That is thankfully far from the ear piercing rape that are some of the stage themes. I'm not very fond of that track though. It's not bad. It just lacks a certain energy for me. The map theme that is.
The stage themes I like. Especially 3. 3 really has a nice energy to it. I still think it could sound better, but I like it in this form. Quite a bit.

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI'm fond of the music for the 5th stage, myself. Why do the ice levels usually have the best music?

"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."Stage 5 belongs to that small group of "Decent to good things. Could be much better, but are nice as is".
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahYou mean like in new games after Sonic Colors and Sonic 4-2? I kind of doubt it.
Colors and 4-1 brought Sonic back to a single character in the story (well... sort of with Colors. Sole gameplay character, anyway), but from both I got the impression that this was less a cue of what Sonic was going to be from now on and more a back to basics type thing, so they can gradually try to add the characters back in a bit more carefully this time around.
Colors in particular gave me the idea that Tails would have a big role in future Sonic games, and, if the Sonic 4 series is supposed to be emulating the Genesis games, you can expect future installments to have at least Tails and perhaps Knux show up as playable.
I've never played Chaotix. I've seen good things about it, and have always wanted to play it, though. That could use a updated sequel.
Edit: Random idea! You know what they should do? Make an Abbott and Costello-esque game like that "Night Of The Living Hog" video, with Sonic as Abbott and Tails as Costello. It's GENIUS!

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. They'd said something along the lines of "fans of Tails and Knuckles will be happy with the lineup for episode 2".
I'd like to see a game based around having Sonic, Tails and Knuckles playable, with optional DLC individual characters with their own skills that would work, like Shadow, Rouge, Cream, Espio, etc.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYay to Tails and Knuckles; "?" to Espio and the rest of Chaotix; Nay to Shadow, Rouge, Cream and any other post-Adventure character. They don't really fit in a game like what the Sonic 4 Miniseries intends to be.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Optional DLC.
And I didn't say "Sonic 4" in that part of the post. I said "a game".

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI really enjoyed Hideki Naganuma's score for Sonic Rush. I wish he would do music for a console Sonic game!
If they make another Sonic battle or racing game of some sort, definitely. I think his style isn't as well suited for actual platformers though.
Also, check this out, at 2:14 listen. Sound familiar?

The idiotic Youtube commenters (OMG THE SONG USES A SAMPLE FROM BLINX! *uhhh no Blinx and this game use a NASA sample, dipshits*) seem to think it's the Windmill level from Sonic Unleashed. Having never played Unleashed, I couldn't tell you.
Random thing I noticed: The hammer boss for Neo Green Hill Zone is essentially an upside-down variantion of the iconic wrecking ball. Nice touch.
I can't believe I sold Sonic Advance 3. That was the only Advance game I played. The Rushes are good though. Still need to play Colors DS.
Robotnik loves giant balls. :3 Only played the DS demo, but the hanggliding part ruled!

How many playable characters will the anniversary game have?
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DIt hasn't even been announced to exist yet, if at all.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. Are Genesis games confirmed for the 3D remakes on the 3DS Virtual Console? It would be cool to see the Japanese Sonic 1 having parallax clouds IN YOUR FACE.
not yet. Only major nintendo console games and nintendo handheld games are confirmed.
The sad, REAL American dichotomySucks. :(
I thought they said Sonic Colors WAS coming to Xbox. I might've heard wrong, though.
If there's an HD version, I'm hoping for the deleted Tikal and Wave sidequests.

I haven't yet played that game, but I am horrified by the soundtrack. This track in particular. There's things I like about it, but overall the track is just painful to listen to. Act 1 and Act 3 bad about that too. There are parts I definitely like about the remix, but just...good god. And again...something I like, but it's mostly just painful sounding. That's only two out of all I've heard and most tracks fall into this.
Now if these tracks were tweaked a bit sound wise they would be absolutely amazing I think.
