[up] Seems legit, since lots of other places are mentioning it.

Prentiss leaving again and Hotch getting a new girl, lots of shitstorm material right there.

I wish they would just quit the whole changing characters thing. If they wanted to get rid of her they should have done it during the Doyle arc.

Just decide who you want and get it over with.

They're finally giving Xander Kevin something to do. Yay.

I with they would stop showing us who the unsub is wihin the first ten minutes. Why did they decide to do this? I liked it better when the audience would learn about the unsub through the team and the hints they follow.

It's creepier knowing this loony is about to pop off some innocent in forty minutes. (Race Against the Clock)

Not for me it isn't. Nothing Is Scarier applies to the identity of the killers as well, at least for me.

I love Criminal Minds! Am I the only one who actually liked season seven? The premiere and the finale were fantastic! There were a couple of "eh" episodes but every season has some of those. Although some seasons have more "eh" episodes than others *cough* season six *cough*.

To the tropers before me, Paget Brewster (Prentiss) left after season seven because she wanted to go back to comedy, not because of CBS or the writers. Erica Messer even stated that she tried to convince Paget to stay.

Me too. sad At least it was free will this time, not Executive Meddling.

EDIT: I wonder how the new girl is going to be introduced. I mean, there were three or four episodes between Elle and Prentiss, and Gideon and Rossi. Why isn't there at least a couple of episodes between Prentiss and new girl?

It's confirmed the new one will be in the pilot? Hm, no idea, maybe because this time, no-one died and it's normal procedure to get someone for an open position asap?

My trust in the writing and introduction of a new character is still a bit shaken from Seaver. I don't really wanna think about it.

Yeah, it did get confirmed that new girl will be in the pilot. Interview with Word Of God on the subject of season eight. I guess her name is Alex Blake. Should we start calling her Alex or Blake? Although, fantastic news, Reid's not going anywhere until season nine. Proof here. I'm actually looking forward to season eight.

EDIT: GAH!! I am so jealous! The Criminal Minds cast were at Comic-con! *sobs* I wanted to go to Comic-con so badly! Did anyone here get to go to Comic-con?

Umm. Alex and Blake are't the top choices for a female character, lol I guess I go with whatever the team calls her.

I watched a couple of Comic-con clips and the cast referred to her as Blake. It is a Last-Name Basis show, so I'm not too surprised.

Wohoo, excited for season eight! I got more Word of God news.

  1. No more Beth.

  2. Reid is getting a girlfriend for an arc.

  3. Our newbie Alex is in a relationship. Note Erica's exact words: "in a relationship" and "eventually, we will see that person." So she didn't rule out Alex maybe having a girlfriend or a wife. I would love to see how Criminal Minds handles a lesbian relationship, if they do. At least she's not hooking up with any of the other members of the team.

Thoughts?

Thought: Is this a soap or a crime show?

I'd be way more interested in news about a multi-episode unsub arc. Or, in regards to the new team member, what her specialty is.

So, Beth leaving is fine and I hope the other two relationships won't be too much the focus of the season.

I would love to see Reid get a girlfriend.

Also, is it weird that I used to be obsessed with Shemar Moore's eyebrows?

I don’t even know anymore.

Kid Carnival, her specialty is linguistics and Reid has guest-lectured for her so she definitely sees Reid as an adult and not the kid he was back in season one. About the relationships, Reid will have a girlfriend only for an arc and I am fairly positive that Erica isn't going to make the same mistake she did with Seaver and reveal too much too quickly. Besides, Blake is much more experienced than Seaver.

I also heard somewhere that an unsub from a previous season will be back to haunt the team for most of the season. There's two videos of the cast talking about it at Comic Con, which were both on the CBS website.

Ideas for an episode, huh? I do like the idea of an unsub returning. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's the guy from "Into the Woods" returning. I also read an awesome fanfic where Jack was kidnapped on a school field trip. I like the episodes where the team is personally involved as long as there aren't too many of those in a row.

Okay, Explosivo, I have to admit that Shemar is extremely sexy.

I like the new team member. Garcia was really annoying in the pilot with the over-the-top "OMAIGAWD I hope the new one is nice". It's nice the show addressed what many fans were thinking when they heard Emily would leave. But fans dealt with that months ago and most were probably over it, so Garcia sounded like a broken record. I hope they tone her down once Blake is settled in.
