Hang in there.

Not really. Everyone has some history. It is just not everyone wants to share theirs. That is why the ones revealed are so often considered "interesting".(robo-shrug)

Very true.

Mine is particularly interesting in a way...

But that's a story for another day.

Fair enough, Experimental Investigator. Though I am a bit curious, to be honest. Are you a man or something different? You have no quality of Darkness Realm, so I am going to assume some magic or technique did this to you.

Biologically speaking, I am a man.

Yes.

I don't know what exactly you mean by "realms" though.

There are five realms corresponding to certain civilizations: Fire, Water, Nature, Light and Darkness. Realm of mankind is an unofficial sixth realm, although rulers of our realms do not wish to acknowledge it as such. It might have something to do with this certain card game humans play.

Intriguing...

So, a lot of your world's mankind... is dependent on a single card game?

It's a little baffling... from my viewpoint.

There is a reason why many of us refuse to accept it. Some even went a step further and mentally broke the player.

I am not familiarized with rules of this game and I doubt any of the realms truly knows what is this about, but I do know we appear only on so-called higher levels of play. Humans call it "Kaijudo", when real inhabitants of realms are summoned to fight. Fights themselves can be lethal to players, as the opposing side has to strike down his rival with our help. Depending on so-called "power level", it can be everything between minor bruises to death on the spot.

That... seems a little pointless for humanity.

Not to mention, entirely barbaric.

All this due to... cards?

(robo-shrug, followed by robo-put-a-handgun-to-the-chin) I assume there is some benefit for the winner. It seems similar to many tournaments of all kinds they had. The non-lethal ones, like the one where two groups of equally-clothed men run on the grass field trying to put a checkered ball into some kind of net to lethal ones, like the one they had about two thousand years ago, combating each other with various weapons, surrounded by public on circular arenas. All those tournaments and competitions have a promise of profit behind them, albeit at a price.

I'm aware.

But, gladiatorial combat is a long-gone practice.

The most barbaric of Roman practice.

But that was more practical.

Using cards just seems like using silverware over a revolver.

Humans have found numerous ways to combat for very different reasons and with very varied weaponry.(robo-shrug) Some things will probably never change.

(robo-headshake at Griff) No. Those are, I do believe, the ones used in attempts of future's precognition.

(to Delta) Greetings.
