Any chance we'll continue the story of Ezio?
#IceBearForPresidentPlease, no more Ezio...
Guy was pretty cool and everything but we need a new setting and Assassin.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. Here are the three most likely candidates:
- Feudal Japan
- World War II, possibly set inside Germany
- 1950's United States Cold War setting

Jonah FalconWell, there's still a few loose ends we need to tie up with Ezio, but a new assassin sometime soon would be nice.
#IceBearForPresidentThose loose ends could be wrapped up by DLC.
Jonah FalconEzio's done. His story's over, although it's hard to say how important Brotherhood really was with the series being incomplete. It's really time to move on to a new assassin, and so I really hope that if it is indeed Assassin's Creed III, they'll get two years to work on it — look how much good that did for the second game.
I heard somewhere they like doing eras and locations that haven't been seen much in other games, so assuming that's true, you can definitely rule out World War II. One idea I've seen is the French Revolution, which I think would be awesome to visit not just for the chance to visit an era rarely seen in video games, but also getting the chance to climb the Palace of Versailles.
The blind man walking off the cliff is not making a leap of faith.Indeed, I don't think there's that much left to Ezio's story that merits an entire game. Weird I like Feudal Japan as a setting... but I don't know if I want it for Assassin's Creed.
Still, I also don't want us to touch on the World Wars. I'll like more Assassin's Creed games with swords and hidden blades. On the other hand it would probably be a good idea if we're going to see Desmond's story anytime soon. Get us used to the possibly inevitable Assassin's with guns.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.@Wild Knight: This new Assassin's Creed game will be released this year.
@daltar: Guns make noise. Something set in the mid-20th century would require stealth, so the Assassin would have at most in terms of firearms a silenced pistol. Switchblades, piano wire, etc - that's the silent kill.

Jonah FalconStill, while Stealth is an essential part of the game in all previous Assassin's Creed you have been able to take on a ridiculous amount of enemies singlehandedly in direct confrontation.
If you don't give your new Assassin anything more than a silenced pistol then they'll have to radically alter the game to be all about stealth.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. You say that like it's a bad thing.
Jonah FalconHmmm... no I really don't see it.
I think they'll go somewhere else. There's too much to change that's integral to the feel of the series to go into a setting that's heavy on the firearms.
Maybe they'll go to Japan, the Hundred Year Wars or something like that. I'll wait to be surprised by the setting, I can say I never expected they would go into Renaissance Italy and then we met Ezio.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. When does the PC version of brotherhood come out?
March 17 America, March 18 Europe I think.
#IceBearForPresidentLate March. I already preordered mine, the PC version's equivalent of the consoles' Codex edition is advertised to have all the extra unlockables and six character figures alongside the Codex, the extras DVD and all the other fluff =)
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Didn't Ubisoft go on record to say that they will NEVER touch World War 2 as an era, at least in the main series and I'm thankful, I'm sick of games set in that time period.
A steampunk setting like the Industrial Revolution might be interesting.
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared to not only retract it, but also to deny under oath I ever said it.I heard the French Revolution was a likely candidate.
Which sounds pretty good. You have a lot of famous figures on both sides, and everyone is a jerk.

Kill all math nerdsA! La Madame Guillotine!
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.French Revolution would be awesome. Maybe have some morals that aren't black and white?
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."I'd like Feudal Japan. It sounds awesome.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.For all the improvements Assassins Creed 2 made, it kind of lost the moral ambiguity and Brotherhood didn't make it any better.

Kill all math nerdsAt the very least they gave some of their villains a reason for their actions... You know after they KickedTheDog to hell and back. Like with that letter saying that Vieri was cruel bastard that craved victory because his dad ignored him.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.I want at least one game to be set in Feudal Japan during the Warring Period, that's I all ask of the series. If they do that then it can just go downhill after that for all I care.

Again, it's an overused period and they said they wanted some underexposed ones.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are. What other games have used the Warring States Period?

New Assassin's Creed to be revealed in May.
