Realistic protrayal of Split personality :

1 sabrina diamond, Sun, 13th Feb '11 5:19:36 PM from in my belly... Relationship Status: Complex: I'm real, she is imaginary
I'm trying to write my story where my original character starts to develop a 'split personality' or (Dissociative I—- Disorder) but I have trouble writing about the 'symptoms' so is there an accurate way of foreshadowing these occurrences? Much help appreciated ^__^

First, I think there exists this feeling of being asleep, and distant from the world — awake. It is like looking at a copy of a copy of a copy of the real thing. And also, the person will gradually find more memories that he didn't really 'experience'. The two personalities would likely never realize each others' presences, save for the abrupt gap in the memory.

Okay Guy
From what I know about psychology is that it's a soft science and there really aren't any constants.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian
We know psychology involves the brain, its chemical networks and bonds and the behaviours that can result. They are constants in this science.

True. All I know from psycholgy is from a psychology class I took this year in high school, so I probably shouldn't act like I know evreything.

I just wanted to point out that there aren't a lot of easy answers in psychology.

The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
