Deconstructing the Messiah concept:
I had seen soem examples of this trope all ready but how do you deconstruct the Messiah? Also, what was Judai's flaw in Yugioh GX? Ditto for Naruto's as well?
Bigonkers! is MagicNever saw those shows. Maybe you could just have the Messiah be a Knights Templar type of character.
An accurate depictionMy protagonist, Gant, was almost a messiah figure; he was generally beloved, seen as a national protector, and even had several cults dedicated to him. However, he was a deranged bastard who once threw a child from the roof of a building to obtain rather trivial information. At the time the story takes place, he's finally found a sound philosophy, but in a cruel twist of fate, no longer has followers due to betraying his government. That's my two cents and two examples.
This is this.
RoninWell, I guess you can go with the Knight Templar idea and make him a sort of Anti-Villain. Or make him a Complete Monster who' ability to bring people together is a front, and is used to give him a good enough social status to let him get away with various atrocities.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitter
Was?Or instead of going grimdark for the sake of grimdark you could look at it from the messiah's perspective. Maybe they find it really fucking difficult to love everybody like they are supposed to. Or perhaps their failures to help people get to them. Or they might be ineffective because they try to help everybody and spread themselves to thin.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
