My guess? Little to none.
There was this guy.
I've owned Blizzard stock for a good number of years on the basis of its rabid fans and the its general upwards growth. ...and then it got bought by Activision and the market collapsed. Well, you don't lose anything until you pull out...
That's the only game company I own stock in, though. Also invested in a very large bank which went very well until '08... as well as every other stock I own... auto (ouch), pharm (ouch)... Bad times, bad times.

i. hear. a. sound."No indie developers" goes without saying, as those companies are not publicly traded.
Heh, yeah they have no taste in videogames.
There's no need to bump a thread that's not been posted in for less than a day.
Bur: Well, with Activision's most recent business model seemingly based on BIID, you can always hold out for Blizz breaking off again
In the King (or Queen) Customer section of Fan Dumb, I can see why those fans feel that way. They feel that the merchandise is an investment in the company and because they are an investor they should have a voice in the future development of the company's brands. Alas it just isn't so.
Now on to the thread title question. Which major game companies have a portion of their stock owned by the people who actually play their games?
By major I mean no indie companies. Their small size means that they are more often than not owned by people that play the games they make.
