I know there's something I'm probably missing but I don't see how an Intended Audience Reaction is an from of Playing with a Trope. Audience Reactions and tropes are two different things.

Yeah, but at this point, the thread title is irrelevant to what is being discussed, and we have 4 pages to slog through to get to what Captainpat is now discussing, and a completely different subject compared to the original discussion. That says "Lock and start a new thread time" to me.
