Anyway, I'll probably run into Steven at some point. Not exactly a massive place.

Well, there's the lower decks, but they're empty. As long as you stay on the top deck, you'll be fine.

Oh, good. I don't have any of my directionally-gifted Pokemon in this timeline, but I can walk down a single hallway without getting too lost.

Rt. 34, Pond Area

(near you-know-what house, yeah, heh...)

-A Nidorin@ troop, accompanied by a group of Wooper sentries and three Yanma, are marching towards the south when one of the heading Nidorino, wearing a small armor, stiffens his ears and notices something-

Nidorino — <Platoon, stop!>

-The Pokémon group stops on its tracks and rearranges itself in a crescent-like formation-

Nidorino — <Who is there! Announce yourselves!> — to one of the Wooper — <You, prepare to check those ponds!>

At the north of the City

-In a secluded place, some branded Nidorina and Nidorino meet-

Owsla guard — <What is your concern, Veterano?>

Veterano Hamada — <Well, we need to figure out what other humans besides Silent are important enough in the city to merit protection...> — paces around — <We don't understand the complicated relationships in the human world...>

Owsla guard — <I see... would you allow me to send a Hoothoot troop for inspection, and someone to Silent's place to fetch his recommendation?>

Hamada (turns around) — <...You have read my mind.>

-The guard disappears into the shadows; another guard stands in-

-to the Guard-

Hamada — <Who are our best tactical battlers?>

Guard (bows) — <Yes sir. The Nidorino called Earua, the Nidorina called Roa, and the Nidorino called Maekrite...>

Hamada — <Hmm... Maekrite is protecting Silent...> — to the guard — <What about the girl?>

Guard — <Young but smart. She managed to outplay one of Maestro Vinollo's moves.>

Hamada — <So she did?> — smirks — <Go tell her to prepare, for tomorrow she shall depart.>

-The guard nods and disappears into the shadows as well-

...Thank you. Thank you so much. For everything.

-looks around the room- I know it's not much, but...

Shadow: <She really is just as bad as Mezzo. He will recover, and certainly you don't plan on stabbing him again, do you? And believe me, it would take a lot of effort to become as bad as Napoleon.>

Audilith: -Sends out an Earthquake at the Empoleon- <You monsters!>

Vanilluxe: -Fires a Water Pulse at one of the Camerupt- <You ought to be ashamed of yourselves!>

Muddy: -Slams Steelix with an Earthquake while Helios uses Heat Wave- <I'm going to enjoy grinding you guys into the pavement.>

Steel: -Slams into Milotic with Iron Head while Eelektross uses Wild Charge and Garchomp uses Outrage- <You'll pay for this!>

Hydreigon: -Uses Flamethrower on Ferrothorn- <You're not even good enough to eat!>

-looks up at the sky-

-Roa is currently sleeping in her new nest, having been up all night last night doing... something-

-smiles back, then drops my bag on the bed-

Oh! Do you have any idea where I can get a slingshot? I never made one in this timeline and it's really annoying.

Hmm...I don't know. You might be able to make one using the plants around here. And the room across from yours is a storage closet.

-The Zoroark and his peons have finally been subdued-

-Grabs the Zoroark's unconscious body and is about to start tearing him apart-

"WAIT! DON'T!"

<Tyranitar: "THEY THREATENED MY CHILDREN! NOBODY THREATENS MY CHILDREN!">

<Shaun: "Calm down! Please!">

<Nadia: "Look, in any other circumstance I'd be helping you right now.">

<Kyle: "Same here. Those creeps make my stomach turn.">

<Tyranitar: "SO WHY WON'T YOU LET ME KILL THEM?!">

-Crawling out from behind some rocks-

<Larvitar #1: "Mommy?">

<Larvitar #2: "I-Is it over?">

-The Tyranitar starts to tear up and drops the Zoroark's body, starting to cry-

<Larvitar #1: "Mommy! Don't cry!">

<Larvitar #2: "Yeah, the bad Pokemon are all defeated!">

"... I understand that you want to kill these Pokemon, and I don't fault you for it... But we need them alive in order to help get some other humans released..."

<Tyranitar: "(*sniffle*) B-But wh-what if they come back?">

-Fishes out some Pokeballs-

"They won't, we'll make sure of it..."

All right, thanks. I'll look into that. I hate being unarmed. That stupid Zoroark in the pagoda had me pinned against the wall and I didn't have anything to hit him with!

Dana: <I thought hitting wasn't nice. Do you hit people, Trainer?>

It's not nice. Don't listen to anything I say, Dana, Epona's a much better role model.

Dana: <Then I can ask Epona and Miss Zoroark to destroy he base?>
