I have failed. I was first unable to destroy 'M. I had to endanger mortals to accomplish that goal. Then, I failed my duty to ensure safe passage of Anom's spirit to here. I allowed him to walk into oblivion not prepared for the possibility that he would be destroyed. I should have realized this risk and forbade his intervention. As such, I declare myself unfit for this position. I shall appoint OLD MAN to govern in my stead, as I exile myself from this plane.

I am not fit to be the father of them. OLD MAN will do a good job in my position. I am sure of that. A far better job than I could do.

I fear that he did not know that. Only I possessed the knowledge that his spirit could be destroyed, but I did not take it seriously, and paid the price.
