On the base of the hill, a young girl named Amber - no older than 8 - is frantically searching for Pokemon she lost and her Pokemon are helping her find him.
Now when one normally gets the image of an 8-year old with a Pokemon. They tend to think of the sweet young girl who's got a Pidgey or a Rattata as a gift from their parents. A kid who keeps the Pokemon as pets, not as battlers. And someone who would never, never leave the house without their guardians' permission.
Amber was no such kid.
While it's true that she did posses a "cute" Pokemon given to her by her parents (a Pidgey affectionately called "Cupid"). Her other Pokemon were a Luxray, Metagross, Tyranitar, Hydreigon and basically Pokemon you would not trust with a 8 year old at all. And she was searching for her rather violent Hydreigon who had go awry during the night.
Mantle the Tyranitar♂: -Looking under a rock- <'es no' un'er 'ere. 'at's fer shaw.>
Coreless the Metagross: <A Hydreigon can't fit under a rock mate. You'd best be looking elsewhere for Gone.>
Zira the Luxray♀: -In a cool, low, almost threatening voice- <I knew that Gone would get up and leave to peruse his own ambitions. Really you're all dense from thinking otherwise...>
Cupid the Pidgey♂: -In Amber's arms- <Pay no attention to them Lady Amber, We're sure to find Mr. Gone under your care! Even if he's a big jerkface...>

Cupid: <GONE! We've been worried sick about you! And to top that, you've picked a fight with a horrible monster!>
Mr. Gone: <Aww... Was Princess Piddy-pad worried about me? It would be the first time you've shown affection to me~> -Is scratched by Woundwort-
Cupid: -Pouting- <I was only worried because Lady Amber was...>
Amber: A Nidoking! Neat!
Amber pulls out a Heal Ball from her bag, and tosses it at Woundwort.
Woundwort: <GAAK!>

Amber smiles to herself, as she goes over to pick up the Heal Ball on the ground.
Amber: Hm... I think I shall name you... Ara~.
Amber places the ball in her bag, picks up Cupid and gestures to the others.
Amber: Let's head over to Pewter city now!

Mr. Gone & Zira: -In most condesending mimic-tone possible- <Absolutely Lady Amber>
