The three birds promise to return next post week, say their goodbyes and leave through the backyard, the Nidorino guard observing them and then retreating to an alley.

After chasing away the swarm of angry BEES, The old lady (with the assistance of her Grandson) go over to where Gummy crash-landed.

Lady: Gummy! Did yah find the trouble maker?

The elderly Salamence attempts to move.

Gummy: <Oooh! Me achin' back!>

Grandson: It seems that his back is playing up again Nanna.

Lady: Whelp, lemme fix you up there old boy...

The Lady gives the Salamence an Oran Berry. His back problems are instantly cured.

'Gummy: <AN' ONCE AGAIN! EVERYTHING IS CURED BY A SIMPLE BERRY! NO FANCY MEDICINES MAD BY ALIENS OR WHATNOT!>

The lady pets her Salamence, before looking over to the Zoroark that is attempting to get up.

Phantom: <Oof! That hurt! It was worth it though...>

Lady: So this here is the one who caused all those bees to attack us!

The Salamence pins Phantom to the ground.

Grandson: This Pokemon is in big trouble right now!

Gummy: <I guess you are one of those untrained riff-raff that crash our lovely celebrations!>

Phantom: <OI! I HAVE A TRAINER THANK YOU VERY MUCH!>

Gummy: <Yah do? Then were is 'e then?>

Phantom goes quiet, the old Salamence raises an eyebrow at the Zoroark before coming to a conclusion.

Gummy: <Yer one of dem abandoned 'mons. Aren't you?>

Phantom: <Wha? Abandoned? NO! I just... decided to move on from him. He wasn't really using me anyway...>

Phantom shakes her head.

Phantom: <The point is I have a trainer! So get off of me you big lizard!>

Gummy turns around and makes a gesture to his owner that Phantom is one of "The plain thrown-out" type.

Grandson: An abandoned Pokemon?

Lady: So this one is one of those poor folk? Oh my my my!

The Lady goes over and hugs Phantom before petting her.

Lady: Oh you poor dear, you must be very lonesome out here all by yerself. Tell yah what, we'll tak yah to th' ranch. There you will meet all sorts of Pokemon! The retired, the orphaned and some are the "just plain old thrown out". We take em all in an' care for them!

Grandson: Are you sure we should take in th' troublemaker Nanna?

Lady: Of course! We never leave one Pokemon behind! Anyway, let's head back to th' town markets to finish off our little jobs 'ere.

The old lady and her grandson start walking back to the town centre. Phantom turns around to make a bolt for it only to be confronted by her Salamence.

Gummy: <Yer 'comin with us, foxmon. Meoldy doesn't take kind tah splitters.>

Phantom: <Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?>

Gummy is prepared to swipe at Phantom with Dragon Claw.

Phantom: <OKAY, OKAY! I'LL GO! I'LL GO! Jeez!>

Phantom starts heading towards the elderly Lady and her Grandson.

Gummy: <Hehe! Still got it! Dem whipperschnappers won't know what's a comin' when I have my chance to shine again!>

And the Salamance trails behind Phantom.

Cephas: -watches them go-

Eh, he'll be fine. We taught him Protect, right?

-Cephas goes to tell Tangent they have a way to track the Absol, at least until she exfoliates-
