-An Energy Ball is launched at Rhyperior from the ledge, striking him and sending him back a few feet-

-The shadow shifts as the entity on the ledge leaps up and makes a Three-Point Landing between us-

Roserade: <Do you wish to surrender yet?>

Rhyperior: <Grahhh!>

-He begins to stampede toward Roserade-

-Roserade crouches down before sprinting foward right past Rhyperior, leaving a trail of Magical Leaves around it-

-The Rhyperior stands still for a second, before cuts from the leaves become apparent, and it collapses-

Wow...

Lugia: YOU ARE ALL REALLY STARTING TO ANNOY ME! WELL, I WAS ANNOYED ALREADY, BUT STILL! JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN'T DO THAT AGAIN...

-Lugia grabs Stratus with Psychic, then opens his mouth and blasts the Dragonite with a raging Blizzard.-

Stratus: <AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!>

-One threat dealt with, Lugia drops the fainted Dragonite unceremoniously on the floor.-

Woolly: <STRATUS!>

Harriet: <NO, STRATUS!>

Lake: <NOOOO!!!>

Chord: <Why is it always him?>

"Darn it!"

-I quickly recall Stratus so that he can't take any further damage.-

Lake: <Darn! We won't be able to do that again!>

Woolly: <HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO STRATUS! YOU JERK!>

-Woolly raises her tail bulb and fires a multi-coloured beam of energy from it.-

-However, it simply impacts Lugia's Safeguard harmlessly, having no effect.-

Lugia: THAT'S THE BEST YOU CAN DO? I EXPECTED BETTER FROM THE TEAM OF HO-OH'S CHOSEN ONE! NOT THAT I EVER PUT MUCH FAITH IN HIS CHOICES!

Lake: <Grr! Pleo's father or not, nobody hurts my friends like that!>

-Lake fires a much more focused beam of Ice at the Legendary.-

-However, it still fails to have any effect.-

Lugia: PATHETIC! YOU CALL YOURSELF AN EX POKÉMON, YET YOU CAN'T EVEN FIGHT YOUR WAY OUT OF A PAPER BAG, IT SEEMS!

-Lugia flaps closer, then sweeps the floor of the shrine with his tail. Most of my team jumps, flies or floats to avoid it, but Lake ends up getting hit.-

Lake: <AAAHHH!!!>

-Lake is knocked off the shrine and into the ocean.-

Woolly: <OH NO!>

Chord: <Well at least he won't hog the spotlight, now.>

-Harriet pecks Chord.-

Chord: <ARGH! Friendly fire!>

Harriet: <How could you say that at a time like this?!>

Chord: <Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Jeez...>

Ferno: <Oh, mon! I could watch this all day!>

-Ferno, Thorn, Hydron and Holly are sitting on the lip of the crater of the Fire Island Volcano, watching the battle from a safe distance away.-

Thorn: <With any luck, those guys should be mincemeat pretty soon.>

Pleo: -Is tied up by Thorn's vines.- <DAD, NO! DON'T DO THIS! PLEASE!!!>

Ferno: <Quiet down! You'll be seeing you Dad soon enough, Pleo. Once he's dealt with those annoyances.>

Pleo: -Sniffs.- <...No...Guys...>

- Continues searching for Deltas -

Latias: <No, not yet.>

... Maybe I should've stayed and fought Lugia... At least that way I'd actually get to do something...

Should've gone with the Dialga idea.

Shut up. I can do this without the help of the legendaries... Not counting using Latias here to speed up my search.

-Meanwhile a Flygon looks down on us from a distant cliff-

Xatu: -Starts using Lucky Chant to protect against Lugia's onslaught-

-Erects a Safeguard of her own-

Crewe now has Skywalker flying in circles, going as fast as he can. She occasionally asks a question while shooting him, and the majority of the time he gets the right answer.

-calls someone on her pokegear-

Mandarin South Desert

-Dintel has some fun with the Sandshrew there, who share some meals with him. Since Sandshrew are pretty picky eaters, this takes a good while, that Copahue uses to brush Shahinne's plumage and helping her sleep-

Shahinne — <...zZz...>

-Later, the Sandshrew go sit on a sand hill and start using some sticks to draw random figures in the sand. Dintel tries to teach them how to draw a Trapinch-

Random Sandshrew — <...and is that a very big tower?>

Dintel — <Yeah, it was, like, very big. But nomon ever saw it.>

Random Sandshrew -tilts head — <That's strange... Is it always warm there?>

Dintel — <Oh it is. And the desert is sooooo big! I think it's even larger than this one.>

Other Sandshrews — <Sweet!>

-Meanwhile, back at the pond, I'm trying to get along a bit better with Lileep, by offering some pellets and kelp I bought in the city during my many activities offscreen (which may or may not have involved saving the world from a horde of Delta Pokémon). Algira watches curiously from above-

Lileep — <No thanks. It's too salty.>

— Really? But... — smells the kelp — I mean, it's right from this sea here. You liked it back at Tarroco.

Lileep — <I don't know what a Tarroco is. No, thanks.> — drags himself away.

— Tarroco was when you ate that red kelp... — follows him a short distance — But if you say so, well, I guess the kelp grows differently there than here.

-Unleashes a truly massive tremor that hits everyone in the party, and pretty much instantly K Os all of the NFE Pokemon in the party barring Rena and Tiamat-

<Rena: "Urk... That hurt!">

<Tiamat: "Oog...">

<Vesta: "Ow...">

<Thog: "Urgh... Darn it, this wasn't supposed to happen again!">

<Nibbler: "Nice going, piggy...">
