-ignores Mezzo and can't see where she's going due tp tears blurring her vision, so she trips and falls-

-Jab purrs-

-Every shrugs and returns to reading a book-

-helps Meddler up-

You okay?

-watches Sunny type-

-stands up and rubs her eyes furiously-

Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm fine!

No you're not. Listen. I know exactly what you're going through.

-hugs Meddler-

You really do like her, don't you? I know, it's hard when someone turns you down like that. But...it's not the end of the world.

-To Fool-

Yeah.

-Spontaneously hugs him-

I missed you so much.

-shoves her off-

I know it's not the end of the world, I know worse things have happened, but it still hurts. Especially when I wasn't even going to tell her in the first place to spae myself the rejection. That is, until Wolf and Sunny and Kirlia all told me to.

I'm Pentigan, Silent signed me up for training a bit ago, was calling into the switchboard to find out where my contact for the third task was and ended up connecting to the alternate PEFE.

-makes a mental note to go find Meddler and give her a big hug tomorrow, figuring that it may be best to let her cry it out for tonight-

— ...I hope the specs aren't too strict... so we are using three mons each, right?

Danny — Yes, and there you have my team. I assume you are going to switch that Masquerain of yours?

— Yeah...

-I return to the others, noticing that the Machoke and the Nidoqueen seem to be having a heated discussion. Algira perches on my head-

Algira — <I'm not gonna be of much help, right?>

Ichtacya — <We heard from here...> — tilts head — <and Algira is too [tired].>

— I know... I just have to decide who to bring in.

-I mumble for a moment, evaluating my choices, which are drastically reduced to two-

Damn... why didn't I go competitive and caught like over nine thousand Pokémon like Tracer and the others?

But... no. I've always keep only a couple of Pokémon close to me, for a reason... and now it is the time to try it.

— Algira? Do you think Dintel can help [me]?

Algira — <...What?> — buzzes and peeks out from the top of my head.

-Ichtacya and Copahue look with interest-

Algira — <Well... he's... Dintel. If you have to follow those weird instructions, I doubt he's gonna be of help, honestly...>

-the rest of my team stare down, none of them willing to exactly come out to defend Dintel-

Algira — <Oh... I guess I have done it... Well, Trainer asked... dunno why because I guess he knew the answer... but... but...>

-looks around, watches Copahue for a moment-

Algira — <I'm not going to be a good mate to Helios if all I can do is complain that others won't do what I say...> — she looks up at the Sun past the clouds — <I need to say useful thins first!>

-Algira buzzes red for a moment-

Algira — <I LOVE HELIOS!!!!>

-The Nidoqueen and Machoke go jaw down and stare at us; the Scyther can barely care, walking around to keep himself warm-

Ichtacya -blushes furiously — <Wait what? What brought this?>

— Er... Algira?

Algira — <Well I do! And I would be able to spend a lot more time with him if you weren't so weak and so focused on [isolating] yourself!> — spins around — <I mean, look at the others!>

-Ichtacya bares her fangs-

Ichtacya — <Hey! I'm the Team Leader, and you don't come talk like that to my walk-along!>

-Algira buzzes a sort of laugh; not a demeaning one though-

Algira — <You can complain all you want so long as you back it up! I want to see you fighting! Earn the spot!>

— ...What?

Algira -to Ichtacya — <Your Razor Leaf was nice, you what we are going to need here is to [cut] something very specific; you'll have to use your fangs and claws or Trainer is not going to make it!>

Ichtacya -narrows her eyes- — <Well I can! Who the heck do you think I am!>

-suddenly, Algira leaps from my head and perches on Copahue-

Algira — <And you...> — smooches him — <I want you to show little [bird] how well you can Peck.>

Copahue — <But-er... I'm not that good... I never learnt Drill Peck... I don't know if...>

-Algira wingslaps Copahue. Softly-

Algira — <Just shut up about what you can't do and do it for once, please? Look, I can not help anylonger, and is obvious that Trainer is not going to bring his best mon out...> — the others stare at me quizzically — <so we need you to Carve this the right way while Dintel breaks the ice off!>

-Copahue blinks-

Copahue — <So you are bringing the Sandshrew, Trainer?>

-My hand, that was grasping the Moon Ball, moves to Dintel's Ball-

— Fine... I'm trusting you on this one, Algira.

Algira — <You better do. You win this. And if you [excuse] me, it's cold and I'm tired. I'd rather have a warm dream...>

-Algira pecks her Ball and recalls herself; in her place I send out Dintel-

— Dintel, look, I want you to break that Ice pillar... — I have to pick him up before he goes "wheeeeee~" at it — ...following Copahue's instructions. Can you do it?

-Dintel looks at me and blinks, then Copahue steps forwards-

Copahue — <Think of it as a [gift] for little bird...>

-Dintel raises a paw-

Dintel — <I can has break stuff very well! Just tell me where do I hit it~> — leaps on top of Copahue.

-My team nods in agreement and we walk to the ice pillars, where I give Danny a sign that I'm ready. The Nidoqueen still eyes me suspiciously-

Danny — Go!
