Spinda!Rex: *cheeks are even more sore than before* <Okay, it seems that this armband is what triggered my transformation into a Pokemon. I'm not sure where it came from or why it landed on my head...but this is actually pretty good for me.>

Rascal: *cocks head* <How's that.>

Spinda!Rex: <I'll explain in a moment. First, I'd like to test a theory.> *removes the armband and places it on the ground; after a few seconds, he grows back into his fully clothed human form* Ah, that's good. For a second there, I was scared I'd be stuck that way.

Aqua: <Grandpa's back to normal!> *yips happily*

Rex: *blinks* That's...an unexpected bonus. *picks up Aqua and sets her in his lap* I seem to be fully capable of understanding you, even without the bracelet on. *pets Aqua absently as he mulls over this new information, reverting into his researcher mindset* The transformation itself wasn't triggered until I put it on and I had no such abilities when it was simply in my possession before. Therefore, I assume these effects are either permanent or a temporary boon granted by my time as a Pokemon.

Minty: <I, umm...I don't get it.>

Aqua: <Grandpa put on some fancy clothes so now he can speak Pokemon.>

Rex: Erm, yes, that's it in a nutshell.

Minty: <Oh. Cool~>

Rascal: <So, what are you going to do with the bracelet?>

Spathi: *grins widely* <Are you going to train with us personally?>

Rex: Hmm, that's a possibility. I wonder if I'm capable of using techniques while I'm in that form. *scratches behind Aqua's ears, getting a purr of happiness from her* I suppose there's only one way to find out. *picks up Aqua and sets her on the ground again; puts the armband back on, reverting back into a Spinda* Whoa... *gets a headrush and falls on his rear*

Rascal: *nudges his back gently, helping him to his feet* <You alright?>

Spinda!Rex: *staggers to his feet awkwardly, a bit thrown off by the smaller stature* <This is so amazing...I can do so much studying like this. I can interview Pokemon directly and get data better than before.> *getting excited* <I can talk to you all and learn even more about you than before! I can do so much more than I could as a human!> *talking faster and faster, getting himself worked up* <Oh, this will be so great! I can't believe this happened to me. Wait until mom finds out! Wait until Kim finds out! Wait until Prof. Elm finds out!>

Aqua: *nuzzles him happily* <I'm so happy for you, grandpa. >

Spinda!Rex: *sitting on Spathi's back, holding a Pecha Berry in one paw* <Y'know, if I didn't know about you toughening yourself for evolution, I'd be afraid you were starving yourself.>

Spathi: <...>

Spinda!Rex: *leans over Spathi's hood, gazing into his eyes curiously* <...you aren't still mad about the NFE Tournament, are you?>

Spathi: *snorts* <...Not really.>

Spinda!Rex: *grins* <So, we're cool again?>

Spathi: <Sure. But the next time there's a tournament, I better be the first one you sign up.>

Spinda!Rex: <You got it.> *pops the Pecha Berry in his hand into his mouth, his eyes going wide at the sweetness* <OH ARCEUS, I can't believe you get to eat this stuff all the time!>
