-We pass through the portal to Relic Castle-

<Vespiquen: "Wait, where are we?">

<Guarding!Cofagrigus: "You are in the Kingdom of the Volcarona.">

<Lardna: "... Say what.">

<Galvantula: "... Isn't that the place off in that horrid part of the desert?">

<Shaun: "It is.">

<Scolipede: "But... How did we-?">

<Kat: "It's a long story, but the gist of it is that we're going through a series of wormholes...">

"Do you know how to get to the Entralink from here?"

<Guarding!Scrafty: "The nearest cluster is on the floor above, a little ways down the left corridor.">

"Thanks."

-Sets off for Entralink portals-

Chase: <Ah, the leader and I are indeed amongst the toughest here. Other strong members would be Braviary, who is currently out on a mission. And Beheeyem, who has been rather busy lately, taking on a lot of missions.> (thinks for a moment) <Hmm... Who else is worth mentioning...?>

Goggles: (takes out both of his umbrellas, examining them for some reason)

Stratus: <Oh, wow! This place is cool! It's like a castle, but it looks like it's been buried in sand!>

Treeo: <It is buried in sand.>

Stratus: <Oh, really?! COOL!>

Cinder: <Oh, man! This guy's unbearable!>

Harriet: <I could say the same for you.>

Cinder: <What?!>

Lake: <Guys, don't argue.>

-Tracer begins walking into a wall for no reason-

Sunny: <Me? The Hero of Ideals? Really? Wow, I'm honored.>

Shadow: <I always told you your head was full of romance.>

Dreadwing: <You think there's anything that can make up for throwing lives away so carelessly?>

-closes her eyes-

No. I can do this. I'm not alone.

-holds Every's hand-

I want to apologize for everything I've done. I know that sending you on a suicide mission was wrong, and every night the faces of the Pokémon I've lost haunt me. I swear on my life I will never do it again. So please, can you forgive me?

Dreadwing: <...

Apology accepted. But don't expect me to keep taking orders from you.>

Zekrom: Right. Normally, Sunny, I would instruct you to take me to the Dragon Spiral Tower and preform several tasks in order to prove that you're a suitable here.

But, since this is a war, it would hardly be right for me to make you waste your time doing that while people and Pokémon are dying.

-The stone floats out of Reshiram's hands and into the air.-

Zekrom: So, I'm just going to cut right to the chase. Stand well back, everymon...

-Reshiram slowly retreats as the stone starts to take in energy, the surrounding area shuddering violently as it does so.-

Reshiram: Oh! My goodness!

-blushes slightly when Mezzo takes my hand-

Thank Arceus Sunny isn't here...

-at the sound of Zekrom's awakening-

-turns to look-

-Sunny and Shadow both back up; Felis, Dreadwing, and Mezzo all turn their heads toward the sudden sound of Zekrom awakening-

-Heads into town, thinking of how I go about figuring out where to find the Resistance-

Yesterday

-After Yonehaiin and Ioki are branded, the five Nidos are reunited. The Houndoom is excused and turns away, leaving the stone to one of the guards. Meanwhile Rize has gotten to to Vinollo and discusses some things with him-

Maestro Vinollo — <Are you sure about this?>

Maestro Rize — <I'm confident the information is good, but that's another matter. I don't want to sidestep Taisho, but I'd feel more comfortable if you could send someone to check...>

-Vinollo looks around, then nods and says bye to his brother, who darts away-

-to the apprentices-

Maestro Vinollo — <From now on you are part of an elite. As such, you shall follow our commandments and be always ready for strife.>

-Vinollo retreats to a circle of Nidorans surrounding the newly inducted members, then seemingly vanishes into it-

Vinollo's Voice — <While we have many Elil, those who have been good to us shall not fall victim to our strife.>

Vinollo's Voice — <We were created to breed and fill these lands. Let your kin and land support your purpose.>

Vinollo's Voice — <...Where other Nidoran blindly face death and fall victim to the tharn, you shall stare at her and unveil her tricks...>

Vinollo — <...Where other Nidoran live limited by these forests, you shall enforce our safety beyond those natural walls...>

-Vinollo materializes apparently from nowhere, to cast a Leer at all the apprentices, filled with a desire of death, challenging each one to stare back-

Vinollo — <These commandments are not an excuse to impose our will over the Colony.> — paws the ground — <We have been given strength not to be free, but to be wise.>

-All together-

-Nods-

Vinollo — <You are the strongest. Many Elil will be waiting for you, chasing you.
And if they catch you, if they beat you... then they will kill you, and the Colony next.

...But first they'll have to catch you.>

-The members of the guard and the apprentices nod, then welcome each other with growls while Vinollo shakes his body to the wind. A short time of camaraderie is had, then Vinollo makes an announcement-

"You can return now to live your normal lives... not normal anymore. By Ni-Frith tomorrow, an ally will arrive to your places to bring you news. Trust them, but verify — they will be your companions and your link to our group when you need information. And when they arrive, they will bring o you what will be your very first mission."

-Roa, Hyzenthlay, Ioki and Yonehaiin are lead to their homes by some guards, and the rest of the audience goes away, but Maekrite and me are asked to stay by Vinollo and some guards, and made to wait in the circle while they converse-

-to Maekrite-

— I guess I have to congratulate you... — pats behind his ears.

Maekrite — <Oh yes... Not yet... this is but the beginning of my new role...>

— ...Does the colony have anything like this in the other timeline?

-Maekrite doubts for a moment, sulks for a while before answering-

Maekrite — <Not like this... I mean, we are committed. It's just that... in this timeline, everything seems to be so different...>

— Luke said the Legendaries were gone...

Maekrite (nods) — <...Perhaps the entire world is like this... so focused on killing or be killed...>

-I flinch at the idea, then ponder what places can be worse, discarding Sinnoh for being too obvious. I hug Maekrite without concern-

— No matter the timeline, I want you to know that I'm proud of you. And that I will take care that you don't face those horrible fates they announce.

-hugs back-

Maekrite — <I... I know... I'm happy to be together with you. And no matter what they say, I am here on my own volition. Besides, hey, it's my mission to protect you.>

— ...Thanks. — pat on his head — Thanks for making me company in the other timeline too.

Maekrite — <It's my duty in the other timeline too...> — licks — <But I do it because I want to be with you. And the guys...>

-feels sad-

— Yeah...

-awkward silence-

Maekrite — <I miss Dintel...>

— Me too...

-Stops in his tracks-

He's back.

Zekrom, can you hear me?

-Stops from tunng the wepon, and heads over to where Zekrom is waking up.

-The Dark stone grows larger, then sprouts a head, wings, two huge, shielded hands, thick legs, and a distinctive Turbine tail that pules blue with stored electricity.

The immense black Dragon floats in mid-air for a second, curled in the fetal position...

...Then wakes up.

With an immense roar, Zekrom uncurls, his body glowing blue and he unleashes a huge amount of electricity in every direction (but thankfully not shocking anyone). Then, it ends, Zekrom landing on the ground, fully reformed.-

Zekrom: ...I'm whole again.

-The Dragon looks down at Sunny with his glowing red eyes.-

Zekrom: Sunny...Thank you.

-Zekrom then gets Tagg's message.-

Zekrom: Tagg? Is that you?

Sunny: <Y-You're welcome, sir.>

Felis: <Dear Arceus, you have both of them?>

-Shudders for no discernible reason-

Black Thoughts: <That was strange...>

White Thoughts: <Yeah, it was. Maybe something important to us has happened somewhere?>

....

....

....

Wow.

Yeah, it's me. We've gotten ourselves in a lot of trouble this time haven't we?

Zekrom: You've got that right. I'm sorry though, I can't talk just this minute, I need to ask what the new Hero of Ideals wants from he. I'll talk to you later.

-The Dragon bows before Sunny.-

Zekrom: Sunny, now that I have chosen you, I pledge to aid you as best as I can. Now, what would you like me to do?

Sunny: <I want you to help the resistance, these people and mons assembled here, in whatever way you can.>

-A short time later-

-Entering the Entralink via a portal-

<Pascal: "How'd you manage to do that back there, man...">

"I don't know, it's like I wasn't myself or something..."

<Lardna: "So where are we now?">

"We're at the Entralink. It's the main base for the Resistance at the moment and one of the three main hubs in our portal network. We should be able to f-"

-The group spots Zekrom-

<Crustle: "It's not... Possible...">

<Guy: "Oh... Oh wow...">

<Aloysius: "... Yeah... This is definitely new for me...">

<Shaun: "It will become less so as it happens more often...">

<Teala: "OH! H-He's awakened too?! B-But h-how?!">

<Milo: "Why are you so surprised? You've seen him before!">

<Teala: "B-But it's supposed to be a really complicated process to awaken one of them! An-And Reshiram was awakened just a few days ago!">

<Kat: "... Whoa...">

<Iron Marrow: "... So I take it that this is the feathered one's counterpart?">

<Vesta: "... But then... Who awakened him?">

Lake: <Is that-?!>

Woolly: <Oh! It is!>

Stratus: -Stares, his eyes sparkling.- <Wow!>

Treeo: <Cool...>

Harriet: <Whoa.>

Cinder: <...>

Unite: <What. Hey, Reshiram!>

-Unite flies over to the Dragon.-

Unite: <Who woke Zekrom?>

Reshiram: Sunny did.

Unite: -Tilts head.- <Who?>

Zekrom: -To Sunny.- It shall be done, Hero. -Notices Unite.- Oh, Reshiram's Hero!

Unite: <Yeah, hi there. You're going to help us too, then?>

Zekrom: Yes, that is what my Hero wants, and I am obligated to make make his Ideals a reality the best way I can.

Unite: <...Cool.>

Reshiram: ...It's so good to see you whole again.

Zekrom: Yeah, same here...

-The Dragons smile at each other, then hug.-

Reshiram: I missed you.

Zekrom: So did I

Sunny: <Aww, they're so adorable together!>

Shadow: <I don't think you can call a pair of dragon gods "adorable".>

Sunny: <Sure you can. Just look at them.>

Unite: <Um, they actually are together. Anyway...Now that me and you both have our respetive dragons, I think it would be best if we collaborate, don't you?>
