-Lake still can't move and ends up getting hit by the Thunderbolt attack.-

Lake: <NO! This isn't suppose to happen! I'm can't lose! I...I can't...>

-The paralysis wears off briefly, allowing Lake to move again.-

Lake, you don't look so good! Be careful!

Lake: <...I'll try...>

-With a determined look on his face, Lake charges at Pikachu, his fist freezing over as he does so. Once in range, the Feraligatr slams the electric type hard with an Ice Punch.-

-Pikachu is knocked out-

Leaf: No...I'm down to my last Pokemon...Blastoise, go!

-I bite my lip-

Hopefully Lake can do it...But that paralysis, coupled with the fact that he's not fresh like Blastoise... You can do it, Lake! We're all rooting for you!

Lake: <Oh! I got him! Thank goodness...> -Looks at Blastoise.- <Oh, I think I'll let one of the others handle this one.>

-Lake returns to my side of the field.-

Well done! You did great!

Lake: <...Thanks.>

-I give Lake a friendly pat on the back, then ready my next Pokemon.-

STRATUS!

-I release Stratus, the Dragonite appearing on the field looking as cheerful as ever.-

Stratus: <Okay! Let's do it!>

Right on, Stratus! Try a Dragon Claw!

-The Dragon's claws burst into green flames as rushes Blastoise and tares at him.-

-Blastoise is hurt, but not too badly-

Leaf: Blizzard!

-Blastoise fires a maelstrom of snow and ice-

Don't feel like reading 14 pages. What did I miss since Tangent became a Tropius?

Briar Rose: <Oh, check it out, Jayna! Stratus is battling now!>

Jayna: <Heh, yeah. I was hoping he would be participating.>

Briar Rose: <Ooh...> (giggles)

Jayna: <... Why are you giggling?>

I'm fighting against Leaf right now.

Stratus: <Uh-oh!>

-Stratus quickly shields himself with Safeguard.-

Okay, now Slam him!

-The Dragonite drops his shield and swings his tail at Blastoise.-

Fool and Slouch winning their battles, and right now Luke's fighting Leaf. Also, Slouch's next opponent will be Cynthia.

Let's see how Stratus does.

-Blastoise is knocked down to the yellow, but fires another Blizzard-

Going to be gone for a long while; Tagg is going to take over as Leaf.

Should I do my battle now?

All right, understood.

-Stratus gets hit by the Blizzard, ending up covered completely in snow.-

Lake: <Ouch...Are you okay, Stratus?>

Yeah, are you all right?

-Nothing happens for a few seconds, then Stratus shakes the snow of himself, shivering heavily.-

Stratus: <I'M SO COLD!!!>

Keep moving! You'll warm yourself back up that way! Now, try a Wing Attack!

-The Dragonite jumps into the air, flapping his wings to stay aloft, but still rather wobbly.-

Stratus: <Ooh, my flying still needs work...>

-Slightly worried, Stratus dives at Blastoise, intending to clip him with one of his wings...

...And ends up missing, crashing into the floor and skidding along several feet, eventually coming to a stop.-

Stratus: <Looks my landings still need work, too...>

-Me and Lake give each other worried glances.-

Jayna: <You can do it, Stratus!>

Briar Rose: (giggles)

Jayna: (glances over at Briar Rose again) <... Seriously, why are you giggling like that?>

Maekrite and I make Every comany watching the battle in the laptop.

Maekrite — <Damn those yellow rats are hard around here...>

— Around there, Maekrite. Red and that girl, Leaf? They're from Kanto.

Maekrite — <Really...?> — flicks ears and snickers — <'chus anywhere else are perfectly nomable then...>

I smile and think for a while, then program an alarm in my Pokégear.

Maekrite (seeing Lake switching out) — <Ow... he was doing pretty fine. He's brave.>

Leaf: Blastoise, use Blizzard again!

-Blastoise fires another snowstorm at Stratus while he's on the ground-

Stratus: <Yikes!>

-Stratus rolls out of the way of the attack, then pulls himself back up.-

Well done Stratus! Now, use Dragon Claw again.

-The Dragon nods, then runs at Blastoise, slashing him with his flaming claws again.-

-Realizes that my battle with Paul is today, and prepares my team before heading down to watch the current battles-

-Is watching the battle from his room-

Wow, Luke seems to be doing really well.

Riptide: Slouch?

Mm?

Riptide: Who else is still in? From the group, I mean.

Can't remember, honestly. There's Fool, Anom, and... Tagg, I think.

Riptide: That reminds me. Isn't it Tagg's birthday tomorrow?

Leaf: Blastoise, can you still battle?

-Blastoise nods-

Stratus: <Erk!>

-Stratus uses Safeguard again, the Blizzard attack striking the shield harmlessly.-

Stratus: <Phew! I'm so glad we learn Safeguard naturally.>

I think we're nearly done Stratus. Use Dragonbreath and finish him off!

Stratus: <Right!>

-Stratus drops the Safeguard, takes a deep breath, the breaths a plume of green fire at Blastoise.-

Drapion vs. Drapion!

-Blastoise gets hit in the chest by Dragonbreath and faints-

Leaf: -Recalls Blastoise- Great battle.

-Shakes Luke's hand before leaving the stadium-

-I'm jumping up and down- Yeah! Great job, Luke!
