The green-haired woman by Jay pulls out a pokeball, keeping it mostly hidden from view. She taps Jay on the shoulder with her other hand. "Sorry to interrupt your game, ma'am, but Security would like to have a word."

The green-haired woman at the desk, meanwhile, starts running a search on Jay.

Silas, meanwhile, may find his path interrupted by a Kommo-o's fist heading very rapidly in his direction.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.

Hyul Castle Depths

-Pent was about to strike, he was a little unpracticed and very angry so any cut would be likely quite sloppy but then Jester stopped being distracted-

No. Just die okay?

-Okay now he just swings at him-

PEFE!Every: You two are ridiculous.

Ever: Look who's talking.

PEFE!Every: (primly) Nobody to whom I have ever been attracted has attempted to kill either me or anyone I know.

He doesn't notice the Kommo'o headed Silas' way.

Damburst: <Very well. I didn't have the requisite practice anyway...>

-to Donnel- <Magic Carp? It's Magikarp, state it proudly, though for as scrawny as you may be now, you will one day look marvelous as well.>

<Though not as good as me. And still probably scrawny, if buff.>

-to Megan- <Ah, no, I have a trainer, though se is not here at the moment, and am not from around here. I am originally from Lake Valor. And later the Great Marsh.>

Silas is clocked in the face and sent flying a bit, he gets up and attempts to shrug off the attack.

He looks at the Kommo-O, <Oh. Hello there. What are you doing here?>

Silas assumes a fighting stance, neither one here has the type advantage. And Silas doesn't know any fairy type moves, <Shoulda listened to Amber about that.>

"Rather proud, most Gyarados I've met typically say something about finally achieving evolution and the power within... a few are Red."

Snakeye gives Damburst a look, <So... why are you here then?>

Damburst then pauses at the awkward explanation.

<Ah, so he was turned into a Lucario somehow? Odd, admittedly, though not entirely outside of my experience. My trainer has more experience with that sort of stuff, though, admittedly...>

Cheren, embarrassed: At least act like you had trouble winning it. -sips his tea-

Juniper: So, Drayden said you had a letter for me?

Bianca, remembering: Oh, right. -She sets her tea down, and pulls Drayden letter out of her bag- I was holding on to it while she battled.

-"Juniper takes the letter from her assistant and reads it. After a few seconds, she looks up at Ramona, then rereads the letter. After a few minutes of silence she smiles and sets the letter down."-

Juniper: So that's it huh?

Ramona: What is?

Cheren: What did the letter say professor?

Juniper, seemingly just noticing the young adults: Oh, nothing really, just a request. Speaking of which, there's something I'd like to ask of you Ramona.

Ramona, confused: Really, what is it?

-"The professor stands up and walks over to a case on her counter. She presses a button revealing a black and purple egg resting in an incubator."-

Juniper: I'd like you to take this egg with you on your journey.

Ramona, still confused: My journey?

Bianca: She's asking if you could take the egg with you as you challenge the gyms.

Ramona: O-oh, well, I mean.

Cheren, mater of factly: You're a trainer right? While you don't necessarily need to travel, it is the best way for both you and your Pokémon to grow in strength and experience.

Ramona: I get that, but.

-"Ramona studies the egg for a bit, trying to come up with words to say."-

Bianca, supportively: It's your choice on what to do, you don't need to travel, but Cheren said is right. If you're aiming to be the champion, then I recommend it as well.

-"Ramonas mom is typing at a computer, when her phone rings. Its her eldest daughter."-

Ramonas mom, answering: Yes Ramona, what's up? -Her eyes widen, and she shoots up out of her chair- WHAT?

Kommo-o: <Protecting the owner of this establishment's assets. One which you seem to have been heading towards with ill intent.>

Green-haired Lady: "Thank you. Now, if you'll please follow me and recall your Pokemon..." She starts walking off, keeping an eye on Jay to ensure she follows.

Hoenn Elite Four - Glacia's Chamber

He entered the chamber and the temperature dropped to a further degree than when that Dusknoir showed up. He met Glacia's eyes and nodded in the affirmative.

The temperature dropped further with a clear explanation.

Abomasnow drew some snow into himself before lobbing it.

Xatu struggled to stay airborne, flapping his wings ever harder to bypass the frost on them.

But Abomasnow had other ideas.

Managing to stay airborne in spite of the insult to injury, he eventually thawed out his wings from the friction induced from flapping too hard. On the upshot, it gave him the move he wanted.

Now able to fly a little easier, he was also able to execute another attack faster.

The Grass-type was returned with minor surprise from Glacia, and Xatu was now noticeably haggard. One more hit would be it, so Colt elected to return him.

Colt's Stoutland looked at Froslass with minor intrigue but got his head back in the game a bit. Didn't help much, really - Froslass reacted quickly.

Julius brushed the ice off of his coat as much as he could before he retaliated appropriately.

But there was a caveat.

Julius' eyes darted around looking for her before he felt a presence on his cheek. And then an absence of energy everywhere else.

But now that Froslass was close, he had his chance.

Froslass was genuinely surprised at the fact that she had taken damage from a Fighting-type move. Shaking it off, she tried to get another peck in.

The move wasn't quite as effective the second time, as Julius was able to tear away from it, so he dove with his fangs bared.

When Froslass was returned, both the Tailwind and the Hail ceased to be. "That's timing you have to work for!" Colt observed as he then nodded to Julius.

Glacia nodded and sent out her next teammate.

Down to his last legs, Julius dove at Beartic.

He was promptly met with overkill.

"Could I get one last scrap from you?" Colt asked the Nest Ball in his hand before lobbing it.

"Thank you," Colt sighed as he replaced Xatu's Nest Ball with a Luxury Ball, now marked "Our Boy" in red dry-erase marker.

Not quite sure how fast his opposition was, Roy elected to play safe for now.

Beartic stood back up and swung at Roy less-than gracefully. Didn't mean it didn't hurt.

Roy felt his chest to confirm he wasn't bleeding before meeting Beartic's chin with pyrokinetic fury.

Both of them landed a couple seconds after the attack began, Roy landing smoothly and Beartic landing on his back.

Glacia returned the Unovan Ice-type and sent out her next 'mon, with a typing that would probably throw Roy for a loop.

Not quite sure what to expect, Roy decided to prepare for anything thrown at him.

When the flames died down from beside him, he looked up and saw a wave coming for him.

When the water died down, Roy rapidly dried off his plumage and Colt saw it curl up in some weird ways before he ran down Walrein and struck.

Walrein elected to take his chances after the move raked him.

To dodge, Roy leaped skywards and then dove.

Without warning, Walrein leaped to a more reasonable height, leaving Roy's trajectory clear of nothing but the floor.

And then Walrein landed square on his chest.

Roy coughed a bit before surrendering to his prison, slamming his claw down a few times in surrender.

Walrein got off of him and he tried to regulate his breathing. He walked over slowly to Colt's side of the field, grabbed a Lemonade, gave him a backhand slap across the face and returned himself.

Rubbing his cheek while hollering that he chose to use that move, Colt drew his next Pokemon.

No amount of Thick Fat was able to prevent that. He just had to take it in graces. He bit Pyukumuku's hand and went bonkers.

Pyukumuku wrestled her hand from his teeth and proceeded to stroke Walrein's mustache in an erratic manner. And he couldn't stop laughing.

This was the last 'mon before the final Elite Four member. Glacia knew so, and so sent out her ace.

Colt waved her off as an orange light flashed.

Mega Glalie had an idea of what to do, and he did it hard.

Pyukumuku felt a foreign dryness she couldn't explain, and she didn't like it. But she powered through.

Glalie, upon seeing that Pyukumuku didn't go down, he tried again with a different move.

Glalie was still slowly losing stamina to poison. Last 'mon, Colt realized.

Colt and Glalie nodded to each other before the Unovan approached Roy and placed a hand on his shoulder. "C'mon," he said. "you don't have to fight the last guy if you don't want to." And they left the area and stood in the hall.

"Look, I know that this may seem less than irrelevant to finding your friends," he began. "But I've asked around on this," he said as he drew his phone. "which can contact a lot of people from anywhere. We can wait, right?"

<Not for much longer,> Roy countered as he drew the Orange Scarf. Now human again, he stretched his arms in a familiar body and spoke his mind. "Look, you don't have any leads, I get that. But I feel like I'm being used here."

"Yep. That's basically the relationship. I mean, we care for them and whatnot, but if there's one thing I've never seen from trainers, it's credit."

"Credit?"

"Trainers are called strong." Colt began. "But if you were to battle them rather than their 'mons, they'd be rather undignified and they'd just be weak. Their Pokemon are strong, not them. Now, I do know what they mean, but I tend to favor acknowledging who threw the punches."

Roy considered for a moment before removing the Orange Scarf and returning himself. "Thank you," Colt sighed as he let his 'mons raid the bag.

-However he lets loose a Bulldoze to stun, followed by Solonn and Vanessa freezing and Grass Knotting most of them in place, followed by Kolemm telekinetically bludgeoning the rest into the former as Gudrunn lets loose Obscura arrows-

-"Victor walks up to a tree and lays down, uninterested in the "weak" pidove."-

Lucy: <Here... we go>

Youngster Petey: Alright, Pidobe, use growl!

-"Pidove growls cutely, lowering Lucy's attack."-

-Kai shrugs, in her best attempt to pretend she's not blushing profusely at her self-humiliation.-

Kai: Hey, at least I'm confident that I'll never drag myself as badly as Lucius does to himself on an everyday basis. Anyway, Soul Bite! Mostly associated with ghosts, but finding a mon that definitely isn't Ghost-type that can use it might prove helpful as well.

-Ever looks a little more somber at the mention of Lucius-

Ever: I mean...yeah. Low bar. As it were.

I'll ask Amanita, and I'll see if any of my team might be able to pick up the trick.

PEFE!Every: Likewise.

Glimmer: <I'll go practice my life-draining.>

Ever: You will not.

Glimmer: <Okay.>

Channah: The group got started on a February? Hm. You um, gonna head back soon, then, or...?

There is no disdain in nature, there is no humiliation.

Kai: Yeah. I'll see if anyone on my team has the potential for it too — maybe I can make a list of species that might have the potential to use it. Granted, meeting another who already has the condition without us influencing it in any way would be far more beneficial to this, but until and unless that happens, we'll make do.

Hoenn Elite Four - Drake's Chamber

Colt entered and met his eyes, holding back a mocking salute and some stupidly catchy meme song enough to nod to Drake with a strained smile.

Drake shook his head and drew his Pokeball. Colt drew his.

Xatu tried once again for a sufficiently damaging move, surprised that he was able to get a hit in first.

So was Kingdra

Wouldn't work the second time, Kingdra mentally decided. Xatu had no plans to use Air Slash again anyway.

Kingdra took damage under the attack, but carried on.

Xatu fell to the ground, too cold to move.

Xatu's chittering kept him from hearing the Yawn, so Kingdra tried attacking again.

The move gave Xatu the motivation to move once again.

Xatu knew he couldn't go longer, and was a little relieved when he saw the next 'mon Drake had.

"<Oh.>" Colt and Xatu hummed in mild surprise.

Colt returned his Flying-type, proud of how far he had gotten in spite of being Ice Beam'd.

He replaced his Nest Ball with a Pokeball and threw it.

Amaterasu recognized the Dragon-type and set her wisps aside.

Altaria made a deceptively successful attempt to chase her down and strike.

Amaterasu decided to use her wisps this time, coalescing them into one fireball.

Drake returned the fluffy dragon and sent out a less huggable dragon.

The Mystic Pokemon hovered above the ground and met Amaterasu's gaze through his red lenses and braced himself against the psychic force.

She then capitalized.

Flygon let her know how welcome she was.

Amaterasu's ears folded back, and she felt the arena buckle under itself. She managed to reorient herself and try again.

Colt and Amaterasu were both a little surprised. And then when the next 'mon showed up, they were more surprised.

Amaterasu stood her ground, but her Drought fading didn't work out.

Once again, an orange light came from Salamence like fucking clockwork.

He exhaled and mulled over who would be best suited for this. He eventually decided and threw the Pokeball.

The Normal-type looked at the Mega-Evolved Dragon-type and smiled, his fangs bared while Salamence dove for him.

Julius' frost-covered teeth and got a hit on Salamence.

Drake returned his Salamence and stared at Julius with a surprised look - Colt was refusing eye contact. He considered his options and decided on a 'mon.

The Mock Kelp Pokemon looked at Julius as he ran him down at tackled him, smiling when he was contacted with.

Dragalge was released from Julius' grasp and countered with a blast of water.

Julius was blasted a fair distance away, including a bit of water in his mouth. He spat some out and used the rest to use a move again.

"That's five," Colt counted. "Time for the fifth."

He was met with a glare from Drake and shook his head. "You know what I mean."

He let his team raid his bag again, unsure if there was a final hallway.

He drew his phone one last time.
