-They let go of the rock, scramble around, grab a nearby discarded mini-radio, and retreat to their bush to listen to a seldom-heard disco station in solitude-

Rose: Thank you.

-She smiles and hands Savannah the stone-

Unova League - Shauntal's Chamber

The battle started with the Mismagius lobbing rocks at the Normal-type. In response to taking the rocks head-on, Julius dove after Mismagius with fangs bore. She reeled back in response to the damage, before reorienting herself and then striking the Normal-type with Psychic force.

Julius counteracted this with a Facade that struck her thanks to Scrappy. She still was not down, and thus elected to throw a few more stones. Having been damaged a little earlier, Julius was able to power through them and strike Mismagius again.

The Magical Pokemon went down and Shauntal elected to rectify that ability. Cofagrigus materialized, wearing that trademarked smile. Knowing what was planned, Julius set himself up a bit while the Coffin Pokemon set him ablaze.

This ironically worked perfectly, as Julius was able to get in a Facade tackle, inadvertently nullifying his greatest asset. And a Special Defense drop nobody noticed actually forced him to his knees when he was struck with an Energy Ball. He was getting close, but his Shell Bell kept him going.

One last Crunch and Cofagrigus was down.

Colton elected to return Julius and sent out Sylveon for the next one. She wanted a turn, after all.

-Rose smiles and hugs Savannah-

Rose: Please never be afraid to ask me for a hug.

-The rodent's just weird. Nothing particularly up with them, they're just weird. Interesting music taste though.-

-Rose sweatdrops at Jared-

-She breaks the hug with Savannah-

Rose: Now, um, I have some things I need to talk to you about. Sorry, stranger, but, uh, I think we should go elsewhere since you're not involved with it.

Savannah: O-oh, okay.

-She glances back at Jared nervously, then steps back and stands next to Rose.-

Rose: Yeah. Just, follow me, I know some places preferably without prying ears.

-She leads Savannah away, looking for the Stormchaser-

-Savannah follows after.-

Savannah: Um, what's up?

The guardians are all knocked down, and proceed to stand back up, displeased, they draw swords and start swinging.

A few Salazzle guards come up with a odd looking pod vehicle, Riju in the driver's seat, <Old Hyul stuff! Hop in! We'll drive you there!>

Out steps Silas, fully dressed, a white mask upon his face and his coat fully buttoned up.◊

"Alright," he said, in a slightly scratchy monotone, "I'm ready."

~We're ready to begin Vilkas, Who do you wanna face first?~

Rose: I... found out about my past, before I lost my memory. I still don't remember it, but I found out. It's... not exactly a pretty history.

-As they approach the airship, Rose turns toward her-

Rose: I want to promise you, though, I swear on my life, I will never go back to the sort of life the old me lived.

Savannah: Oh! O-okay. I'm l-listening.

-Three Guardians with swords. Time for a fight!-

-He plucks two balls from the bandoleers basically at random and tosses them out-

-Rose heads onto the airship to find a quiet room-

Rose: My old identity was a woman named Paula Jaide. She was the worst kind of Cipher agent, and more importantly, the one who captured the Heatran of Mt. Battle and put it through the Shadowing process.

-She pulls up some info on her phone about Paula during her Cipher stint-

Rose: In the J-Team's final assault against Cipher, she mysteriously disappeared. According to Diane, she turned up a while later in Fiore, but was arrested later. And then broke out again.

-She shows a picture of Paula in Cipher gear, before turning off her phone-

Rose: Apparently the Unown stepped in for divine intervention and separated my memories from the rest of my mind and body, sticking them in a completely separate entity in what was supposed to be a cross-dimensional prison. It didn't work, now she's out there somewhere causing havoc. Meanwhile...

-She gestures toward herself-

Rose: I'm here with none of the memories and about half of her old foes would take my head given the opportunity. Honestly, I don't blame them. Everything I've heard was nothing short of awful. I really shouldn't be alive anymore.

Va-ru City

"Perfect!" He observed, hopping into the vehicle. "Let's go alreadayyy~" He sang.

Unova Pokemon League - Shauntal's Chamber

In response to the Fairy-type having been sent out to challenge her, Shauntal sent out her ace.

Two 'mons in and already forcing her hand, even Colton was a little impressed.

"Hey, good job, Julius," he hollered into his pocket. Then he looked at the Chandelure, and both him a Sylveon gulped. Sylveon tried to still her racing heart, but she was blasted with fire halfway through. She did calm down, but she was hurt.

But she wouldn't be this hurt again. She blasted a remark about her fur being burnt at Chandelure, but she didn't seem to take much damage from it, and the Quick Claw having been expended brought insult to injury. And the Psychic force she was struck by added injury to insult.

She was still able to fight, but she was only so pristine. Sylveon, this time, elected to dive for Chandelure to siphon some power from her. She felt a little better, just enough to take another Fire Blast. So she kissed her again, and that was about all Chandelure could take.

And Sylveon's Quick Claw had also returned to power, so she told Chandelure to stay down. She did. Three for two, Colton and Shauntal counted.

"Yipes," they chorused for their separate reasons. Shauntal sent out her fourth 'mon, a Froslass who promptly shot an Ice Shard at Sylveon. Sylveon was able to somewhat parry it with some Swift stars, both of them taking some damage.

But Sylveon's previous damage forced her to collapse.

Va-ru City

-Savannah is silent for a few seconds, unsure what to say as she takes everything in. Before she really knows what she's doing she hugs Rose again.-

Savannah: B-but you are alive. It d-doesn't matter if you used to be her. You're you now, and you're my friend.

-She pulls back.-

Savannah: S-sorry. U-um... is there anyone after you right now?
