(Unlike normal fog, there's no gradual build-up of moisture until suddenly you realise you can no longer see your hand in front of your face. When Volkner steps across the perfectly straight boundary, it looks more like he's forcing his way through a wall of thick, viscous liquid - an impression not helped by the way his silhouette on the other side immediately starts grasping at his throat as though choking for air. Anyone who follows should immediately realise why, as the sheer density of the fog pressing upon them all at once causes a brief, terrifying moment of blindness and suffocation; even once this passes, breathing is difficult and nothing in any direction can be made out through the rippling haze.)

Yeah Pent hangs back and starts rummaging in his bag for a few things like the lens from his Collective Unconsciousness efforts just incase this turns out to be related rather than purely a glitch effort, a gas mask and of course the blade of the Horseman-
While they're distracted, go north.

Sergey stepped into the fog, his first reaction was falling to his knees as he grabbed his throat too... what a great start indeed, he made a mental note not to let Loran out of his ball while in here.

Mireille laid a hand on his shoulder, obviously she was coping with the fog better than him... or at least she got used to it faster. After a while Sergey indeed started to - at least more or less - cope with the fog.

Zachary: "O-Okay, guys, it's okay, we'll just take our time and slowly enter once we determine it's saf—"
Smoke suddenly jumps from beneath the ground and dashes into the fog.
Zachary: "...Or not, I guess"
Joulet: <Psshh! This measly fog, no matter how pressing it may be, is no match for me, the valiant sparkling hero, Joulet! I shall liberate this place from this corrupting glitch no matter what!>
Zachary: "Joulet, no, wait!"
Joulet bravely and also blindly walks into the fog, before instantly running right back out with eyes widened in shock and in the midst of an intense coughing fit.
Zachary: "Well, a lot of people are already going in...It's now or never!"
Ghiaccio: <I'M REEEEAAALLLY CONSIDERING NEVER RIGHT NOW!!!>
Zachary counts to 3 and runs into the fog while pushing Ghiaccio and Joulet in, as soon as they enter they start having trouble breathing but they can breathe just enough to keep going as they follow Volkner's silhouette.

Cid: And "being seen" also includes "picking a fight with anyone who looks tough". I don't want a repeat of the Meteor Falls incident.

Daydre hangs back a bit and spots Pent getting out his CU goggles. She contemplates putting on her own, but figures she can put them on later if the fog really is that bad.
.. Which indeed it is. Daydre puts her glasses on, but they don't seem to help at all.

Daydre jumps at Star's sudden voice coming from behind her. Somehow the Staraptor made it here very quietly.
