Vierr: Right... well, there is the "power loss" thing, goading him into that may make it easy to restrain him... if it doesn't kill anyone first...
-He trails off, becoming lost in thought himself. A frown is forming on his face-
Meeting
-Pent nods-
Good. Hate to see you waste away yourself by following a monster's power. Plenty of alternatives...
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing. Can we TS this? I still have a few important things to do this meeting, but I'm very tired and I've got to wake up early for something that'll make me unavailable until about 6 PM eastern tomorrow.)

Jacob: "If we're looking for a non-violent take down, why not just get all you mons to start spamming sleep and paralysis moves as soon as he appears along with somemon with Shadow Tag to prevent teleporting away? At some point he'll succumb. Then just contain him."
Verax: "... That's way too simple to work."
"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."-To Jacob-
...What makes you think that I haven't thought of these things already? Constantin's also got his mons that are at least as strong as mine, and his gunmen. He isn't a runner either, someone always had to drag him away after we fought.

???: Yet, Jacob has the right idea.
A familiar 5'6, blue haired lady makes her way to the meeting. A female Meowstic is cradled in her arms.
Solana: Constantin doesn't run, he doesn't back down. He targets something and put all his efforts into dealing with the target and only stops when said target has been dealt with or he blacks out.
She scritches Thérèse's between the ears. Who purrs in response.
Solana: The best effort to best him, is to stall him until he burns himself out. Hopefully not literally.
Thérèse: <Which, nyaaa, may have to include going toe-to-toe with the beast. Nya~>

"Then we take out his gunmen and his 'mons. Simple"
GIVE ME YOUR FACECave
Jacob: "Even if they're as strong as yours, a well placed Thunderwave or song will cripple them all the same. If taking out his mons is out of the question, just render them irrelevant to the end goal."
-Nods to Sol as she appears- "And yes, ideally not burn himself out literally. But stall tactics work marvels in situations like this."

A trap then. Sounds wonderful if Tagg can get durable enough to survive and we can goad Cons into wasting out faster.

Thérèse gives a strange smile.
Thérèse: <My trainer offers to help in regards to durability training of a certain kind, as has already been spoken to Tagg about. Apologies, nyaa, for him not being here by the way. He would have a lot to say about what happened and how to most efficiently deal with the problem.>
<Dealing with problems efficiently, nyaa, is kind of his thing. Like Father, Like Son so they say. Nya~>
I'm having to learn to pay the priceUmbra:I was figuring some of it would be getting T Sed anyway, at least with what Tagg said.
Thorne Daycare, Monday
Aiki: "Oh, I should be good with that, mostly."
Meeting Area
-Sholto arrived a while ago and perched somewhere, listening in on the conversation, not sure what to say, though obviously curious about some of these details-
-Hajime, meanwhile, has little idea what to make of all this and is missing the mon-sides of the conversation, so is mostly sitting there, fidgeting nervously-

-Vierr glances over at Sol-
Vierr: Oh, it's you again.
True, but a cornered rat will bite the cat. I did promise to help Salvador with some things in return, but I'd rather keep exactly what that entails to myself for now.

Solana smiles at Vierr.
Solana: Hello scruffs! Good to see you haven't blown yourself up with your obscuric powers yet~
Thérèse: <If you want to know, nyaa, where Salvador is. Shaka is currently tending to his fragile state. Thing about Gates is, nyaa, even using the first forms exacerbate existing conditions. Shortly after gathering the bodies it became apparent that the psychosis and schizophrenia came back with ravishing fervor. Shaka even had to bind his hands to prevent him from clawing his skin due to formication, nyaa~>
She leaps out of Solana's arms and begins rubbing all catlike around Tagg's leg with a purr.
Thérèse: <Question, nyaa, are you mentally prepared for that Monsieur Tagg, Nya~? Like the actual, tangible consequences?>

Blue has been here the whole time.
Blue: ... the fuck is this shit. Honestly.
<Gong: Not what you signed up for?>
Blue: NO! I just want to build stuff, Arceusdammit. Fuck.

Des shoulders Blue.
"Build me an Aura-suppressor. Also don't use my name around these people..."

She looks over at Blue.
"Oh, hey again! Uh... To be honest, I'm kinda lost too... "
off the shitsMeeting
Blue: I could try? Honestly, I'd rather not give you something I'd made in what appears to be a fucking fight for your life. It'd probably up and try to kill you too.
She grunts.
Blue: Whatever. Count me out of this plan.
-To Thérèse-
I know about the strain it puts your body under, but I suspect you're talking about something else.

"Very well then. But I have been lookin' for a gearhead that could work for me..."
GIVE ME YOUR FACEMeeting
-Pent sighs slightly-
So you are going to try and use the Gates yourself. I guess if you're sufficiently prepared then it'll help... Even if you do go over the edge against Cons... Well if we set the trap up right then we'll be around to control the damage.

-Vierr gives an unamused look-
Vierr: Still with the "scruffs"? Really?
Meeting
Sol walks over and ruffles Vierr's hairSol: Aw, don't you like Scruffs? I find it positively adorable~
Thérèse: -Purring- <The mental consequences, nyaa, my dear. As you know, one of the reasons Constantin is so damaged, nyaa, in the first place is because of the silly things one calls the Gates. I told you what my master is currently experiencing, and while not written, nyaa, Shaka has mentioned before that after using Gates if not in a Coma Constantin would attempt his at own life due to the manic-depressing coming back full gale. Were Shaka and the late Kahina not by his side, he would have most certainly been successful at it.>
She fluffs and gives Tagg a honest smile.
Thérèse: <You should also, nyaa, be ready to face organ failure, diabetes, heart problems, a higher chance of seizures and strokes, a platter of mental problems and early onset Alzheimers later in your life>
Thérèse fluffs.
Thérèse: <If you, nyaa, intend on only using the base forms once or twice, nyaa, then you shouldn't have too many issues, Nya. But still, nyaa, it puts you at a higher risk for all of the above.>
<Just laying out the possible outcomes and health concerns, nya~>

I'm having to learn to pay the price
-To Pentigan-
Hardly, even with the power granted by an open Gate or two I would only not be instantly killed by him opening the fourth gate like he did in the other future when Sol and I fought him.
-To Lina-
From what Salvador told me, he wasn't always that way, but these days he simply forces them open with pure power since he lacks the stability to access them the other way. It's why he doesn't have much time left, he always did kinda feel like he was fading to me despite his power.
-To Vierr-
Salvador was kind enough to give me portions of Constantin's old journals, overuse of the third gate can lead to permanent power loss, and using the fourth almost always kills you. Even the first and second can put a major strain on the body, it's not like the Nexuses at all besides the power boost.
But killing Constantin would be relatively easy, even the Gates can't save you from an Aura chain through the throat, it's just I don't really want to kill him.
