Ren: I did. Say, how much do Metagross need to eat, anyway?

Chrome: <Not much, but we like meat.>

Ren: Ah... Don't you have like, four brains?

Chrome: <Indeed we do. It's quite helpful.>

Ren: Meh, I get by fine with just one. And besides, don't you lack certain... Parts?

Chrome: ...

<I very much prefer it being that way, thank you.>

Ren: -smirks- Being a human would be so freaky for you, wouldn't it.

Chrome: <Probably. I likely won't ever be, though.>

Ren: Yeah... Anyway, gotta go. See you.

-She disappears, and Chrome heads off-

-Herbert doesn't even have time to utter a suitable profanity before he's swallowed.-

-The Water Dragon... Spits everyone out on the coast-

Issun: <WAAAAAH I'M TOO YOUNG AND HANDSOME TO [DIE]- oh, we're alive.>

Ammy: That was close! -shakes off her fur-

Issun: <I'm gonna give the [busty babe] a piece of my [mind] next time we see her! She [took off] without us!>

-Suddenly, the Lucky Mallet appears from Ammy's hammerspace, and starts hopping up and down-

<Huh?>

-It then starts hopping away-

<Ack! I hate to see [treasure] running away like that! [After it,] guys!>

Ammy: <Get back here!>

-She chases after it-

- Kaius may wake up to find himself in a dark room, tied up in a chair, with Duolis and Styx next to him. -

Ryoshima Coast

-Herbert limps after Ammy, still disoriented from the sudden swallowing and clutching his injured leg.-

Herbert: A Gyarados... of course it's a Gyarados! Why didn't I think of that? I was expecting a Kingdra or something, but no, that would have been too easy, I guess...

Rao: I'm sure I mentioned the Water Dragon several times...

Ammy: <Yeah, she did...>

Issun: <Bah, whatever. Anyway, you better not be trying to [trick us!]>

Rao: What are you talking about?! I was nearly eaten alive too, you know! But how did you get away? Amaterasu is a rater slow swimmer...

Issun: <Take that [back!] Ammy gets kinda [sensitive] about her flaws!>

Ammy: <No I don't.> >_>

Rao: Sorry... But the Fox Rods! If they're not on the ship, then where are they?! If they're lost in the ocean we'll never find them...

Issun: <Aww, don't be [sad.] I'd hate to see you and your [two friends] cry!>

Ammy: <Anyway, we've got a mallet to find. See you!>

- She heads off-

Duolis: Sorry I had to meet you in a time like this, Kaius... I'm Lady Duolis, the Ghost Lord's wife.

Styx: <The Ghost Lord's set up something nasty for you!>

Duolis: But Styx here and I rigged the hazards to help you win! Good luck!

- At this, Kaius starts to be lifted up on a platform through a trapdoor above -

Herbert: The thing I'm wondering about is why the Water Dragon bothered spitting us out in the first place. Does it just not like the taste of Arcanine or something?

-The group reaches a hole in the wall of the Emperor's castle, seeping green mist-

Issun: <Aha! Now we've [cornered] you, you... You... You [mallet]! No treasure's ever [escaped] the great Issun! I'm gonna sell you to some greedy [merchant,] and->

Ammy: <Isn't this where the green mist is coming from?>

Issun: <Huh? You lead us here for a [reason,] mallet?>

Ammy: <Hey, it can shrink people, right? Maybe it wants us to go in there.>

Issun: <It really wants us to go in that [creepy-looking] hole? Still, it might be a [good idea...] If this is the [source] of the mist, and [Lady Himiko] won't do anything, it's up to us!>

Ammy: <Alright... Let's get hammered!>

-With that, the Lucky Mallet glows, and the group shrinks and is sent inside the hole!-

Umbra's Castle

-Kaius is raised up to a crowd of cheering Ghost types and human minions, plus a few "demon" mutants-

Tuck the Yamask: <WEEEEEEEEELCOME to "Are You Smarter than a Ghost Lord?"! With your host, our very own FEEEEEEEEARLESS LEADER!>

- Umbra walks in, to many cheers from the crowd-

Umbra: Thank you, thank you all!

Tuck: <AND! Our latest unlucky contestant, the former warlord of Dragnor, LOOOOOOOORD KAIUS!>

- There are many jeers from the crowd, the ghosts in particular booing. -

Umbra: -turns to Kaius, smirking evilly- Hello, Kaius. Like the little show I set up for you?

Herbert: GAH! Arceus, Joltik look a lot more terrifying when they're twice your size...

-Lucanus is sitting in the crowds, watching the proceedings with consternation.-

Lucanus: Arceus, Illusio must be in a worse state than I had assumed if the Ghost Lord was able to capture Lord Kaius...

Libitina: <YEAH! Woo! Finally, some decent entertainment! Man, it's times like this when I wish I could still eat popcorn.>

Lucanus: Why are you cheering? Kaius is on our side.
