What is your favorite fighting game?

Right now mine is Injustice because I love the characters, the gameplay, and the story.

Wanna use (almost) any character in fiction? You can! Also because it's the only one I've ever played seriously. In fact, my current avatar is a MUGEN character that I made (although a horribly unbalanced one at that).

I almost downloaded MUGEN onto my old comp, problem was that I couldn't figure out how to add characters at the time (I was around 12 when I tried to download it, even now at age 16 I haven't bothered to look it up).

That said I have seen many videos about it, and it looks fun as heck.

It's not hard to add characters actually:

• 1. DL the character and put it under the "chars" folder.
• 2.
  • If the content files are not in a folder, then unzip the files into a new folder with the same name as the .def file (So if you see something like "ryu.def", you name the folder "ryu"). Remember this name.
  • If the content files are already in a folder, then extract it directly to "chars". Remember the folder's name.
• 3. Go to the "data" folder and open "Select"
• 4. Under the ";Insert your characters below." line, you place (character's folder name), stage.def

Example:

• 5. When you play the game the character should be inside.

Well, today is EVO 2014. It starts in about a half-hour, and there's no topic for it besides this one.

• Stream 1 (Smash Bros Melee Pools upcoming)
• Stream 2 (Injustice pools followed by TTT2 Pools upcoming)
• Capcom Stream (USFIV Pools upcoming, and the stream stops completely after 6 PM today)

Looks like Melee has started.

And here goes Street Fighter.

I'm sure an announcement or two will raise the hype.

Apparently Ed Boon is making some MK announcement at the end of the Injustice tournament. Harada is making one tomorrow before the Ultra Street Fight IV finals. My money's on Tekken X Street Fighter.

Anyway, today is the Injustice finals and KOF XIII finals, both on stream 1 (the main stage). The rest are just semi-finals.

Tekken 7, huh? I would have wanted a Tekken X Street Fighter announced before Tekken 7.

Ditto. At this rate we may have to declare Tekken X Street Fighter Vaporware.

Still, it looks like the final day picked up EVO's hype-level quite nicely. It's great seeing all these fighting game topics on the front page.

Not on our trope page yet, apparently. I'd say Tekken 7's reveal would be a good enough reason to add it.

So....anyone know about Under Night In Birth?

If only I had the money to buy that right now...Cuz I totally would.

I get paid tomorrow, but alas...travelling expenses, plus I owe my Dad $20.

I want to buy Under Night, but unfortunately I'll have to wait til its localized next year.

Everyone is playing UNIBEL at this place I go to to play fighting games, so I got to try it out.

Carmine is dumb. Super, super dumb. All you have to do to pressure people is chain into A Blood Wheel thing.

How are Yuzuriha and Gordeau?

I didn't face Yuzuriha, but there was one really good Gordeau. He's got some pretty stupid range with that scythe of his and he has a command grab. So yeah, he's scary.
