This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I like that Kaine looks older than Peter. Somehow. It's cool
My various fanfics.Of course he looks older, no one care if stuff ages his character.
One of the advantages of being a B or C list character is that you actually get to develop as a character. The down side is that your death might actually stick.
And they could decide to kill you in much more of a whim and for shock value than if you were an A-lister.
And writers are more likely to ignore their homework and write you OOC (and thus ruin your character development in a single stroke) in the first place.
To be fair, writers are just as capable of writing an "A-List" character OOC to fit the need of their story.
Exactly. One need look no further than Civil War and Avengers Vs Xmen. The both of them could practically be called, ' OOC: THE MOVIES. '
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI'm looking for a second comic book on my pull list, is Spider-Gwen worth a read?
I'm pretty sure that aside from the Spider-Verse one-shot, that comic isn't due out till January.
Aw. Well, I'll pick up the one shot. Is the ongoing going to have the same team as the one shot?
Yes it will. And that one-shot was very good. So there's high hopes for the ongoing.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.AXIS: Hobgoblin closes, and Roderick is still magnificent.
Huh, I'm honestly surprised. I kind of wonder if Slott requested the change be permanent because he has an idea for him in ASM.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Oh, and Morlun's dating his world's version of Jessica Drew.
Well, that's one way to get some totemic essence in his life.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."He really ought to know better than to try and date his food. Oh God, it's gonna get all Twilight on us, isn't it?
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Peter/Silk is still a better love story than Twi-*shot*

Secret SignatureRe: Hobgoblin: I am not surprised at all, actually. Roderick Kingsley has been in the awkward position of being too smart and competent to actually be much of a villain. His whole appeal is how untouchable he is, and that gets old to write - he can only act through proxies for so long, but the second he stops, he loses some of his cred and appeal. Swapping his alignment not only gives us a fresh character, as the praise for the Hobgoblin mini has demonstrated; it allows Kingsley to be smart, competent, and effective on a long-term basis.
The Bagley variant for Scarlet Spiders I ordered just came in. So, yay, I guess.
Lafayette StrongI really loved him being offered membership in the Avengers and then immediately expecting a salary.
There's something I find hilarious about older Spider-Man stories (even into the '90s). He would regularly get a buzz from his Spider-Sense, look around, not see any obvious danger, and immediately think his Spider-Sense was simply acting up. He was years into his superhero career at this point. He'd had dozens of times where he'd written off his Spider-Sense, only to later have it proven right. And yet, still, if he didn't see something obvious, he'd think, "Don't tell me it's on the fritz!"
Dude. Maybe when your Spider-Sense goes off, and you don't see anything obvious, maybe you should assume that it's sensing a subtler threat? Wouldn't that make sense? Dumbass.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.
I think it really comes down to how old Spider-Gwen really is. "College-Aged" can be tricky because it can fall anywhere from 18 to like 24. Peter is canonically 28 as of this arc.
