This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

They already have two other versions of him running around in Marvel. a Kid version in eXtreme X-Men, and Ao A one in X-Force.
Don't forget the Bamfs in Wolverine and the X-Men. Still no word on what the hell those things are, but they're blatantly Nightcrawler-relevant in some way.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.ive read some theories that the Superior Spider-Man is Miguel O'Hara. And hey if the X-Men can come back from the past, and Bendis implied Time Fuckery is how Drax, Star-Lord, and Thanos are still around, why cant this new Spider-Man be Miguel. He's got the Toe Claws.
Every time I see a Bamf, I remember Kitty's Fairy Tale, and how awesome that issue was.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I just realized what the douchey Horizon employee working for Kingpin's last name is. Stone. Miguel is looking more and more likely to be Superior Spider-Man.

I don't get it.
Tyler Stone was Miguel's enemy/father a corrupt inventor executive.
This new Spidey is definately some version of Spidey-2099. The hand and toe claws, the special lenses, being darker etc. etc.
Just had a thought: What if the new Superior Spider-man is a fake-out villain. Kind of like Tanarus was for Thor?
If Dan Slott is to be trusted, I guess I'll use Superior Spiderman as a starting point for some comic book reading. Or I could get that nifty collection of the Lee/Ditko run I saw a few weeks ago.

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Unrelated to Superior, I am getting a kick out of the Carnage events we've had recently. I've always really liked Carnage, to be honest. He's been my favorite supervillain since Maximum Carnage, but had the terrible misfortune of being created in the 90's, where everything was dark and violent; he's a character that needs to work as a contrast to lighter stories.
Symbiotes are one of my favorite things in the Marvel Universe, and it's always made me a bit sad seeing Venom and Carnage get the short end of the stick in terms of writing. It seems like, in recent years, we've started seeing more writers with care and attention to all the little details of the symbiotes start handling Venom and Carnage again, after a long period of Carnage being MIA and Venom being an obligatory villain who pops up occasionally to remind the audience he still exists, then get beat down on in a couple panels.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm slow on the uptake, but does◊ this look suspiciously familiar?◊

Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Wow! I had no clue that cover was a homage! Good find!

I saw the homage mentioned before. CBR mentioned it.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. It's kind of a lame way to homage. Looks more like the artist was too lazy to come up with unique poses.
I think it's pretty fitting, given how out-classed Spidey is powerwise for both those hypothetical fights. Both Superman and Alpha are Superpower Lottery winners. Spider-man, not so much.
Slott released a tweet and then deleted it that mentioned Miguel
Whaaaaaat
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. He mentioned something about Miguel's eyes. Which are light sensitive and would explain the special lenses on new Spidey.
So, if we've got time travel shenanigans with Miguel O'Hara and the original teen X-Men showing up as part of Marvel NOW!, does that mean that other 2099 stuff could show up in the 616 universe? Ravage? Doom 2099?
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Auugh, 2009, 616, ultimate universe, time travel, Gehaugh...
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. If Doom 2099 shows up, I think he and Doom will be honor-bound to fight each other to the death or something. There can be only one Doom.
...and many Doombots.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I thought Doom 2099 WAS Doom, just LOST IN TIIIIIME?
Nightcrawler's a popular character. He'll be back. It may be another couple years, but he'll be back.
