That voice acting was... pretty awful.

At 1:10: IT'S A TRAP!
Jonah FalconAnyone notice that outside of Yoda and one other unguate, none of those little green eyes talk like they've had a stroke? Normal talk do they. Mixing predicate nouns they do not.
Jonah FalconWow, that was pretty...lame compared to the teaser trailers...
When are they making KOTOR 3?
They aren't. They said that this will cover KOTORs 3 through 5 at the very least and won't make more for a while, if at all, IIRC. This, coupled with how they effectively RetGoned KOTOR 2 by saying its events were not "significant to the galaxy at large" enough, makes me question how much I really want to play this game. And yes, I still do, the promises of HK-47 as a boss are inviting. There's a lot of lore in there, awesomesauce lore. The problem is the presentation.
And yeah, all the action demos look suspiciously bland, blander than is generic for modern-day World Of Warcraft clones, even freemium ones. I'm worried.

Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are.Indeed, this doesn't look nearly as impressive as I'd hoped.
I'll stick with World Of Warcraft thank you.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!Well, those that played it on the original X-Box *may* have moved on to the PC by now, you don't have to assume they all migrated to the 360. But yeah, that's what they get for having played KOTOR 2 and Jade Empire earlier than us.

But you can assume that they all migrated to the PC?
@Vox: Oh good, I'm not the only one then.
Other than that, I'm pretty psyched for this, and am sold if HK-47 is in there somewhere. Now hopefully I'll be able to afford it...
I'll turn your neocortex into a flowerpot!Yeah unless this is free to play I am going to give it a pass. It looks terrible, shame really.
Now give us Ko TOR 3.
You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans.Uh huh. Just remember - when you jump off the bandwagon, you're not invited back on again.
Jonah FalconI, for one, think it actually looks pretty damn good.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderCan't wait till I get to roast Jedi with my wrist-mounted flame thrower.
I'm more interested in a repeater cannon, but what the hey, a flamethrower would be cool too. And no, I'm not jumping anywhere, I'm just worried, that's all. I didn't fanatically love Baldur's Gate, but I did re-buy it on Impulse last week - it's a good game in its own right. Even if TOR fails to end up as T3h Ult1m4t3 World Of Warcraft-killer, it will still (probably) be a very good game. Although the way it's advertised, it looks more like a four-player co-op RPG where you pick those three companions from a larger pool, maybe for temporary team-ups even. The fact that all the companions are pre-set per character class (at least so the promotional material leads me to believe) only strengthens that assumption. I know that most MMORP Gs with stories tend to drift in that direction, it's just that TOR doesn't seem to try to hide it. And I take it as a GOOD thing, ackshully.
Videogames do not make you a worse person... Than you already are. What pisses me off is the fact that you have to decide between dual wielding or a saberstaff if you want to be a Sith warrior. What's wrong with just one?
Because that's not aggressive enough.
The combat doesn't look that different from KOTOR combat.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Hence why i'll be shooting Jedi int he face.
I played The Old Republic today.
My reaction after playing:
Bioware also put up a video of the same mish I played. I played the heal spec'ed Scoundrel, too.
Jonah FalconI'm pretty sure that dream is dead.
I talked to the Bioware writers and asked them what happens when you constantly take Light Side choices as a Sith and Dark Side choices as an Alliance.
Their answer: you don't switch factions. You're loyal to your faction - you just view it in a certain way, but everyone in the faction will think you're ... untrustworthy.
The way they talked, and agreed when I suggested it, it's basically Paragon vs. Renegade.
Constantly taking Light Side choices as a Sith is basically being Renegade. Constantly taking Dark Side choices as an Alliance, the same. You have your vision of what your faction SHOULD be.
