I like #2, since it shows the shipwreck.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. How's this?
I like it a lot for some reason.
Fight smart, not fair.I still think the Rocket Robin Hood image works best - nice clean image, and clearly shows both a character everybody knows, and the "twist" on the concept, with no fuss required.
I don't think it's necessary to show the original if it's a presumptively-known work like Robin Hood (or, for that matter, Robinson Crusoe - I don't think we need an "original" there either.)

Jet-a-Reeno!My vote's for Robinson Crusoe on Mars, just because it's so blatant about it. We should probably go with a crowner here, though.
Robinson crusoe, hands down.
I'm baaaaaaackA vote for Robinson Crusoe.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?Rocket Robin Hood is good for image links, but it's hard to image a better example then Robinson Crusoe on Mars.
I think we can get away with just the cover of Robinson Crusoe On Mars.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanPossibly, but I added the original work for the benefit of those who may not have ever heard of it.
Especially since this is a two part trope "Original work - Recycled work".
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. Can we call this for Robinson Crusoe on Mars, or is a crowner needed?
If we're going to go with Robinson Crusoe on Mars, might I suggest an alternate image? This is a movie poster. Alternate versions here and here.
Jet-a-Reeno!Alright, this is ready to lock up. Since this is a medium-divided page, I put the pic on the Literature subpage...this should be fairly easy to come up with subpage pics for, but we can work on that in another thread. Locking up.
Just need to pair it with a cover showing the situation of the original book.
