This is the inflection point. The real leaders of the Thundercats have now setup the situation so their front cat (Lying O) can act as figurehead to march to final victory.
If the episode had ended with the defection, then it would have been a bummer ending.

Cartoon Network is complete and utter fail I swear.
They're bringing back fail shows and yet they're not bringing back Thundercats which is better than the played out Ben 10, and junk shows like Total Drama Island.
Not that I think the show sucks or anything but I kinda blame too much focus for being put on the love triangle between Lion-O, Tygra, and Cheetara.
