After the level cap patch, it take 1 million+ experience per level to go from 99 to 120.

So apparently someone managed to to rip through some character models on FFXV's disc and managed to find some interesting stuff in it like Bahamut's maskless face, Noctis' old Versus outfit, at it reveals it reveals that during the brief moment where Gentiana's clothes disappear when she transforms into Shiva, she actually has fully detailed nipples. Last one doesn't surprise me, professional 3D modellers will often do such things out of completionism and having an anatomically accurate underbody rather than prurience. I seem to remember FFXIII also having nude models for the crystallized characters even though you can't see anything.

The Versus model is probably a holdover from testing, but it'll be interesting to see if those outfits can be brought back in.

FFXIII's nude model were in the game, it was Vanille when she was decrystallizing, it didn't have nipples but detailed enough in the places the camera aimed at.

I kinda wish once Noctis has the ring, his ability to use magic goes really insane, where he's lobbing the magic attacks like crazy without having to rely on items, similar to how Nyx goes ballistic with the lightning an and fire once the kings give him full power

That would have been way better.

It have been ridiculously broken but Noctis is suppose to be the King of Kings at that point let the game breaking commence!

Sounds like it'd be really good if true.

All of that sounds neat, though the bestiary being tied to an achievement seems like it'll be a huge pain to complete.

Though, I feel like there's not really much reasoning to believe this since I don't see anything that mentions why this would be remotely credible.

A bit underwhelming in places, but IMO that lends to its credibility. We'll see come a month from now how it holds up when the Gladio DLC drops. That World of Versus stuff down below sounds like it could be pretty interesting though, and I mean the game does set up for an easy way in to that. Though I still feel like the World of Ruin section deserves far more expanding.

At least Gilgamesh being in the Gladio DLC is true and if that means we get a Shimomura remix of Battle at the Big Bridge then I'll gladly shell out the money for it. Probably nothing else though.

What does everyone think of Square adding in more summons, through DLC or patches?

Not to mention the cult of Odin in the description of the Safety Bit accessory kind of leads credence to the idea we may get more.

Also i edited the headscratchers page, last two. I hope no one minds. I think I may need to go back and edit them. They are so clunky.

While it sucks that it basically feels like XV is an early access game in its current state, I think given that its strongest weaknesses stem from absences of meaningful content rather the presence of bad content, any further additions are most likely a good thing since they'll address that former issue.

Doubleposting aside, apparently there was a talk at GDC where Tabata said that there was a general feeling around Squenix that the FF brand felt tarnished and that if XV didn't sell well they wouldn't make mainline games anymore. Of course he could be talking out his ass again but I remember that one confirmed-accurate /v/ leaker said something similar. Damn, didn't think it was actually that bad.

That moment was when FFXIV was a failure, they had to do sequels to FFXIII to earn money back on all the assets etc. Things changed over the years and the company have now had positive finances and movement for quite a few years. But back then? Yeah, things were rough.

Trailer for Episode Gladiolus is up. From what i hear it does well in improving on the shallowness of the main game's combat, though whether it'll do anything to address the shallowness of Gladio's character as the most heavily underwritten of the main four I'm not so sure. So far the writing actually seems to be cementing his flatness even further.

But importantly, they got freaking Keiichi Okabe of Nier/Drakengard fame doing some of the music. Awesome! It's very cool to see the success of Nier Automata putting the whole team in the spotlight to the point Squenix is willing to trust them with their main franchise like this. Even if it's something small like just doing a few tunes. Who knows, maybe there might be more collaborations like this in the future.

That's honestly an interesting version of Gilgamesh.

Also they probably trust Okabe and his studio more than anyone else involved with Yoko's projects because the soundtrack for Nier was more popular than the actual game lol.

Good to hear about news of the DLC, but looking back I was disappointed to see the game's tone feel more outdoors considering the game was set in modern times. I would have loved to have seen cities like Insomnia in the game showing more of that concept off than mostly woods or cavern areas.
