Got to admit, that image really looks like a short haired girl to me. The Pink Hair probably isn't helping.

So, looking through the examples, it seems like Spongebob could work well. If we want to keep the pic an anime example, maybe Naruto?

Belief or disbelief rests with you.

Remember that Keet is the male equivalent of Genki Girl. I'd hold the pink hair against him, but there's no way you can't tell from the expression on his face that he's not super-sugar-high-cheerful there.

Nvm this trope is broader than its title. A normal keet is supposed to come off as a bit girlish, Blush Stickers, excitable never shuts up.

This covers everyone least bit energetic.

Well, just any boy that's overly energetic. Doesn't have to be screaming girl energetic.

Flapjack is a pretty good example. The boy hangs around with the saltiest most disgruntled "sailor" that ever exists, yet has a wide eyed idealistic view on the world. It takes a lot to actually depress him or kill his energetic vibe.

Crowner hooked.

Although, I think the current image is fine, but OK.

Eh, I voted for Luffy (1) and Flapjack. Shun, on the other hand... again, nah.

Okay, image shot down and effectively withdrawn.

But honestly, what was wrong with it? Shun seemed to capture the trope description very well. And while that doesn't seem to be well-agreed, I'm curious about the nature of the objection. Why the disgust? It surprised me, to be perfectly honest, and I certainly did not intend to shock or offend. The reactions seemed to border on...well...uncivil. Like an Internet Backdraft. Correct me if I misconstrued.

I think the trope is suffering of some decay if Naruto and Luffy are being added as examples. They are hyperactive, yeah, but that is not what the trope is about.

Oh, and the character is supposed to look unmanly. There is nothing wrong with the original pic.

[up][up][up]I'm not sure why the reaction was so harsh, although I agree that it's not a very good picture. It just looks like a dog. There's nothing especially Keet-ish about it.
