Games that you feel you waited too long to get into

The Dragon Quest series. I'm really enjoying IX right now, and I'm kinda wondering why I waited so long to start the series. :V

Same series for me. Though my first encounter with it was playing Dragon Quest III on Game Boy Color. Dragon Quest VIII is what really got me into the series.

@Ray: I'm talking about the Nickel City at Chicago. Viper Phase One is still there in Chicago, but I couldn't hear the sounds. And there was that other Shoot Em Up game whose name escapes from my head.
