You ought to give this one a try. It's not their best, but it's still a lot of fun. And it's much better than [down] made it sound.

Yeah, it may be thematically inconsistent, narratively uneven, lacking in any meaningful character development, and not even especially funny, but Dream Works has done way worse.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

How is it lacking in character development? Peabody learns how to be closer to his son and truly have more trust in him, rather than just going through the books. There IS a lot of humor, but it's mostly for the younger kids who only recently learned about history, and there are only 3 instances of fleeting toilet jokes I can think of.

Not really, no. It's more "things happen and then Peabody is a bit softer at the end." And Sherman does nothing to earn that trust at any point in the movie.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

If they kept it in the same format as the original show, I'd watch it.

Or it would be like Turbo and would be made in 2D.

I'll be honest shows with huge episode orders worry me. That's a lot of steam to run out of.

[up] When I say format, I meant the way an episode of the old show was structured. Meet a historical character, solve his/her problem, finish with a bad pun. Wouldn't mind at all if they did it in 2D as well.

Not even the 90's toons like Animaniacs had season orders that were that high!! Not even LONG-RUNNING SHONEN ANIME have season orders that are that high!!! What gives!?!

....... I think I know what they're doing. .... each ep will be 5 minutes long. Like the original 1960's show!

If that's the case than how do you account for the astronomical orders for the other Dream Works/Netflix shows?

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

Sorry. This will be my last post then I'll be done in here.

[up][up]I could understand one sequel and toys, but 3-5 movies and shows on Netflix!? That's way too much. But hey, they got to have the money..

Eh I don't see the problem with Dream Works creating more sequels,spin-off for the movies they make as long their good and effort is put into them.

Pretty much. As long as the quality is good, keep it coming.

............ yes. They must! Because they're not owned by a major corporation, so they NEED to have cash cows, and if you intentionally try to land a Toy Story 3 every single time, there's a higher guarantee you will not.

Guess what animation studio is going to produce 4 of these 78-episode-long series?

... Studio MIR. ... the studio behind the last ''The Legend Of Korra'' Book.

.... which only makes me MORE curious as to the look and animation style of each of these!

I was wondering if someone would post the link here.

Yeah uhh...... don't 100% trust Cartoon Brew, guys. That said though, I can see that the short isn't the best thing ever, so I understand why Dreamworks was hesitant to promote it.

You know, when your movie is getting it's butt kicked by a GEICO commercial, you're in trouble.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
