The game just released, and I find it very fun indeed. It's a free to play top-down action game, in which your team fights another in a one-life-no-respawn-to-the-death mode, a capture the flag mode, and a capture and hold the points which has a bigger focus on killing the enemy players since you only win after hold them for a set amount of time (about a pretty long minute, if I recall correctly) or killing all the opposing players and taking the points while they are dead. In the latter two modes, respawn time increases as the game goes on.

The graphical theme is rather unique by my opinion, mostly using a tribal look for the titular bloodlines that you play as, which go into the roles of tank, healer, melee damage and ranged damage.

The combat is frantic and while some people would compare it to other MOB As, I'd say it's a lot more different and rather inapplicable - there is no autoattack function, most abilities have to travel before they hit, there is no mana (only cooldowns, though all the characters have LimitBreaks in the form of an ultimate ability and two others that requires 'energy' from using your abilities), no bases to destroy and no respawning little Mooks to kill for money. Oh, and there is no money system either. Matches are generally faster than other MOB As, enough so that an entire one consists of rounds (possibly aside from your custom games).

PLAY IT.

I made a page for it. Now you have to play the game if you want to add more examples! MUH-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Hey this game's pretty cool. I just came out of an hour-long session. Been switching between classes, yet never quite found the right one. Still fun anyway.

[up] Yay! I can see it would take a lot of time to unlock the bloodlines, but I find they all take such a decent amount of practice you might as well play as many as you can from the free rotations for a while before deciding what to go with first.

Hey since we're here, why don't we share our in-game usernames? Mine's Nettacki.

I be Vuther A. No space between the r and A, that's just how the formatting works here, as you know.

I be hooking you tropers up with some explanation and some gameplay (albeit outdated).

And this.

A tank class example.

A healer class example.

A ranged damage class example.

A melee class example.

There's a page for Bloodline Champions, by the way. Play it to ruin your life by adding to da tropes.

Hmm. Looks like it might be fun.

Unfortunately, if I start playing a MMO of any sort right now, I probably won't get anything done. So maybe later.

[up] Damn, now someone sees my desperate multi-posting.

It's not too much of an MMO. There's no levelling of the sort. But, to play the game's characters, you will have to play a bit to get enough in-game currency, but the game swaps a rotation of 4 free ones every week, so you'll have plenty of time to decide what you like from trying them.

Levelling doesn't matter.

To be a MMO, it has to be massive, multiplayer, and online.

Though, nowadays, most of them can get away without that first M.

The point is, it's an addicting game that would take away too much time from homework. So no.

But I assure you it is addictive. grin

Yup. I would probably do it if I didn't have a proposal due tomorrow and two job interviews tomorrow and a test on thursday and oh god what the fuck am I doing on the internet?

I can haz bump?

My problem with this game is the extreme complacent gaming syndrome: impossible to encounter anyone who's not in rotation on lower levels. You have to play for a week to get someone who's not free.

[up] I found that would be an issue to new players, but logically works pretty well since it's better to play them all first to figure out what you like and continue to practice with them.

But I bought Titan Edition because I really wanted to support the game, so...

BLC's shop is a direct ripoff of LoL's shop and I will back that claim up with violence, yet in league this works better because you get 10 champions each week and some champions can be acquired by playing two days, not two weeks.

Also. Fuck Nomad. Fuck thorn. Graaa hatred hatred. Next week will be Thorn free week for sure, that'd be pain.

[up] 20% every week isn't enough? Though I understand that it won't let you get something immediately, I still find it works in a logical standpoint.

So it recently came out on Steam, and it seems it had a decent jump up in userbase since then. Anyone else playing?
