Canvas Curse had ability challenges right?

I don't think there are ability challenges in Canvas Curse. There is Rainbow Run mode, though.

@Enerzu: That's a waste of resources though. It would take too much money and time to slap old ROMs onto discs.

I say that if hackers can muster up the "courage" to break the law simply to play good games, then Nintendo can find a quick and cheap way to rerelease its Kirby stuff. I mean, they've been doing it with Mario and Zelda for a looooooooong time, so why not add Kirby to the mix?

Those were hard... Though I did fairly well on the Wheelie one.

So, in Return, I just discovered the secret second path through stage 5-5. And I did this in EX Mode.

Still thought he was kind of a jerk, though. With not a lot of health to work with, a constrained room with an ability-killing spike ceiling, and the EX moveset, it was still kind of a pain.

The main boss that continued to kick my keister in EX mode was the shounen-reffing Gorilla dude. The first time was so much cake that I didn't realize how horribly butt-whoopy he could be in a situation where he doesn't take damage anywhere near as quickly.

Goriath? Yeah, he's a definite dick. I eventually beat him with Bomb. Although he's a dodgy mofo, the volume of damage the bombs deal + their area of effect eventually did well by me.
I find myself using Leaf for a surprisingly high number of bosses in EX mode. That was just how it worked out for Whispy, but it was a conscious choice for Fatty Puffer and Mega Doomer, because it makes dodging their screen-blasting attacks such a breeze. Plus, its uppercut made swift work of Mega Doomer.
I'm up to Level 6 in EX mode, and I have to wonder... did anyone else have an epic freakout when the Ice-flavored Sphere Doomer EX turned the screen upside-down?

As for that second part, yup. I did that bit with friends, and it was a defitite WTF moment for everyone involved.

I fully realized the irony of fighting Whispy with Leaf. I guess it was semi-conscious, because I did decide not to ditch it partially because of the lulz factor.
EDIT: Oh, and I just beat Metal General + HD-3D without dying. My secret? Leaf again! Not that there weren't a lot of runs filled with dying leading up to that no death one... I totally creamed the general with Bomb on my first run through, but then things got giant-robot-tastic, and I kind of died a lot. So I just reset to get my lives back and switched to Leaf. I play like a coward and regret nothing!

I have been wanting to ask this... Who IS Kirby? What is he? Where did he come from? Why is he in Dreamland(sources say that he's a visitor)? All I know of him is that he comes from a Distant Star(though, that might just refer to Pop Star).

Who IS Kirby?
He's the name you should know; after all, he's the star of the show.
What is he?
A potential Star Warrior, if Kirby: Right Back At Ya is anything to go by.
Where did he come from?
Dreamland/Pop Star.
Why is he in Dreamland(sources say that he's a visitor)?
Because he wants to live there, I guess.

From the first game's manual, he's a spry little boy who lives in a place called dreamland on a star far away from Earth who set out to the dreaded mt. Dedede to get back everyone's food. Where'd you get all those questions?
