Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka is the newest anime by Studio Deen.

Does it seem promising? I've seen the first episode and I'm rather hooked. :)

Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.

I saw the first episode.

That was really weird, but it made me want to keep watching.

So far, no one appears to dislike the show. (none that appeared in any forums that is)

So this show is likely to be a universally like anime for this season.

Well he's obviously not a Night Of the Living Dead romero-esque zombie...but he fits the definition anyways.

There are many different types of zombies...Night Of The Living Dead just popularized the slow shambling animal-type zombie to the point where people only accept that as the standard.

A zombie could also be a rotten fish/shark/whale walking on land with sharp robotic legs while making a 'GASHUNK' noise.

I'll keep an eye on this series. Truthfully, I don't know what to think of it, but I didn't know what to think of Shinryaku! Ika Musume and that show left me quite pleased.

Okay, this show had me as soon as Ayumu started dead(ha ha ha)panning at Haruna in the graveyard. Fanservice, violence, lampshading... what an utterly charming show.

It's been fun.

It's...

like HSOTD...

except there's a crossdresser and pink chainsaws and the Gorn's played for comedy and I can watch it without feeling dirty for minutes afterwards!

And the Magical Girl stuff.

First episode: Hmm...seems like one of those shows that's So Dumb, It's Brilliant. Unexpectedly entertaining and a lot of mindless fun that revels in its cheeky stupidity.

Finally got around to seeing the first ep against my better judgment, and it's like the polar opposite of HSotD in terms of tone (and plot). Too early to tell if it will get better or worse, but at the moment this will probably be my Guilty Pleasure show of the season.

These characterizations are still largely depending on how they are animated, just look at what Kyo Ani did with the Hiiraga twins and the Fujibayashi twins, who were technically created around the same time by different creators.

(I'm talking about how these girls and these girls fused into these girls.)

I'm going to watch a couple more episodes, but right now I'm not convinced that this show will be good. It did give a good 30 second upskirt of a crossdresser, so that's something...

Meh. The first episode had the advantage of featuring a great punchline, but this one didn't, really. The best joke in there was probably when our protagonist used his hand as a projectile, though other bit were able to get a chuckle out of me.

The problem was how much of this episode was spent seriously. The drama's not bad, persay, but it's just not as good as the comedy, and as such it falls a little flat.

Definitely going to keep up with this show. From the mass tamagoyaki-reaction to Ayumu talking with Yuu outside the convenience store, it's just charming.

Also: now all we need are a pirate and a robot.

It's been fun.
