For the open beta it should just show up on the online store as a download for you get. Just like a demo or something.

I find the fact that the system requirements are not up yet the they are still trying to push people to preorder the game, paying full, extremely sketchy...

I'm not super confident on the PC version either to be honest. You're also gonna have to launch it through Blizzard's proprietary thing and not Steam or something.

Its going to be through Battle.net and it's something I have used for years, you gotta have it for Overwatch as well.
That is the last thing I am really worried about actually. It's probably the best launcher out there, even better than steam, the only thing I have ever not liked about it is the in house streaming is done through Facebook instead of twitch.

Okay, found the beta on the Xbox Store, but couldn't download it XD I guess Bungie will let us know when it's open for everyone.

Just an FYI, the store download is only like 400mb but the beta itself is 11gb that downloads after you start it up.

Played a game of Countdown too, ended up being a Curb-Stomp Battle, even though I only got one kill.
Tomorrow I'll go for the Strike.
So far I'm liking the beta, the story mission was really good in my opinion.

Played the story mission and the strike; I have no complaints. If they can keep the missions cinematic like that instead of the old point-to-point stuff, I'm sure it'll be fine, and the strike was more interesting stuff than the standard D1 again, and I hope they keep that up too.

Same. I enjoyed the Strike too, that environment on Nessus was pretty cool and Protheon repeatedly dropping us further and further down brought cool little dimensions to it. The story mission's scenery and stuff was also really good.

Beta and pre-ordered. DON'T JUDGE ME.
Really enjoyed the more involved aspect of the missions, actually seeing NPCS in combat (even scripted) helps. Good starting setpieces (Maybe they can't afford Bill Nighy again....)
Strike was fun, Crucible seemed a lot faster and more impact (More like playing Iron Banner) but fun.
Weapons... yeah not sure about that yet, but was interesting being able to tote two different primaries. One which has elemental effects.
In reality though, if Destiny was representative in game of the number of Guardians are actually in existence, with all their gear.... the Cabal would've turn up and been Gjallahorned to death. Seriously.

Wel, didn't get a chance to do the strike or crucible, but the intro mission is certainly an improvement. Would've been nice if they gave one of each weapon type for each slot - I prefer my scout rifles to be kinetic.
Becoming one with the Force looks cool, but still feels too similar to Bladedancer IMO.
Lots of stuff to climb and dance on top of in the social zone, always a plus.
I may or may not put down a preorder next month when I renew PS Plus.

The starting equipment for the beta is based on class apparently. If you get lucky with loot drops you can grab all of it though.

I'll need to play more maps on it but the ease of capturing objectives and the power play feature make people more willing to pick them up and more quick to defend them. It's not as time consuming anymore.
We'll see how it pans out
